Does anyone, other than me, wake up at 7 or 8 in the morning on Saturday to watch soccer on ESPN 2? I don't have the Fox Soccer Channel, so I'm left with ESPN 2 on early and most likely hungover Saturday mornings.

Watching my boys on Aston Villa lose to the bunkarse Wolves right now. Its another case of a team playing down to their competitions level.

LOL--I guess you won't find many English football fans here, but for what it's worth, ESPN got me interested in Aussie Rules Footie back in the '80s. Collingwood is my team. Go Pies!

Round 1 of the season was this weekend; if anyone is curious, check out

I pay attention to the Bundesliga a bit, but not the English leagues.
Eliminating that Yankee odor since 2006!

Here it is, Saturday morning, got the Man U-Chelsea match on at 8 AM. Fancy! Rings, I have probably asked before, but is the Bundesliga league out of Italy?

Bundesliga is Germany, with Bayern Munich playing the role of the New York Yankees...which means, of course, that I'm an 1860 Muenchen fan...go Lions!!

Duh, that's right. I remembered you saying you liked the 1860. I should have remembered that was a German league.

A good article on the Bundesliga:

I'd argue there's more than a few pointers in here for MLB also concerning the fan friendly attitude!

Great article. Good pointers for all leagues to take into consideration.

Don't know how I missed this for over a year, but no, you aren't the only one. I love football and especially the EPL. I went to an Arsenal game in London last fall and it was epic in so many ways. It really is the beautiful game (when not watching North American leagues anyway.)
I hope we have diplomatic relations with the country that ball lands in.

Thanks 84. I know there were some football fans in here. I'm hoping to get over there someday and watch a match. I can only imagine how amazing the experience can be.

Rough week for The Arsenal. Fabregas gone and Nasri following closely. Need to make some incoming transfers to help out.

The league opened up this past weekend and I was pumped, still am, for Saturdays with football!

I hope we have diplomatic relations with the country that ball lands in.
