Posted May 17th, 2012 04:08 PM IP Guys the Indians are first in baseball in walks. Do you all grasp this? A team with really no real superstar offensive power (sans Asdrubal maybe) gets more free passes than anyone. The Tigers? The Detroit Tigers who have Prince and Miggy? 24th. I can't stand when people want players replaced or Leyland replaced. How about a change in approach across the board? What the tigers are doing clearly isn't working so why would it hurt to work the count a little more? We're All Behind Our Baseball Team...Go Get Um...Detroit Tigers...Go Get Um Tigers

I've been preaching this for weeks. It's the same as 2008, we're too aggressive, we're too free swinging, we need to have a better approach. Guys like Miggy and Prince, I let them do what they want for the most part, but overall, get on base. Hackson has had a much better approach and works more counts, why doesn't everyone?
Can we trust our hitting coach(es)? Are they teaching/preaching the right things? I hope we have diplomatic relations with the country that ball lands in.
