Posted 6th April 2011 16:59 IP I like to bet on how many horses will die. Thoughts become things, so choose the good ones.

No more than average i suppose.
I had a flutter on Cheltenham the other week.
I'm a very occasional punter.
I'm going for Midnight Express ridded by Ruby Walsh to be first past the post, and his sister Kate on Quolibet And Tony McCoy on 'Dont push it' as my e/w flutter.
Whats your's July?
It's really pot luck at the end of the day, tho there are exceptions to the case as in Red Rum and Desert Orchid.
I had a large win on Jenny Pitmans horse yonks ago - "Royal Athelete"
(I'm sure it was her first GN win, but another poster on here, say's other)
Only becouse a commentator commented that she hadn't won it before, so i got this feeling that it was her year, so i put down some dollar's on it's nose.

Posted 7th April 2011 09:05 IP Haven't a clue Huggy I usually just have a look in the papers and pick a name I like, hehe.
Last year I won the office sweep stake. Can't even remember the horses name now.

Posted 7th April 2011 09:12 IP I know nothing about horse racing and have only personally placed bets on a few occasions.
There's a guy on the desk who claims to be an expert and I give him money as part of a syndicate, but have never seen any return.
(Edited by Tony B Liar) My life was in tatters because of my
obsession with the Okey-Cokey.
But I turned myself around and that's
what it's all about!

Probably me - Jenny Pitman's first win was with Corbiere in 1983; Royal Athlete won in 1995

and she had the winner up on the one that was abandoned.
Blimey, i thought it was her first as the commentator was mentioning her quite a lot, hence i put some shekels down. Everyone is talking about the closing ceremony at the Olympics and what was their favourite bit.

obsession with the Okey-Cokey.

Usually watch it at home, but I don't think I'll be able to this year. Set the video instead!
Not at all. If the horses disliked it there is no way that they would allow a 9 stone jockey to get them moving.
Final runners are out now. I usually back four because of the nature of the race; not exactly sure about all of them this year, but almost certainly doing State of Play and Niche Market
