Anyone watching this C4 series?

My life was in tatters because of my
obsession with the Okey-Cokey.

But I turned myself around and that's
what it's all about!

I watched this the other day.

That bloke at the end of the pic, the one who writes poems, did you think his date just looked uninterested and unimpressed with him the whole time? yet she says she likes him and wants to see him again etc. I know the show said she had learning difficulties herself but I don't recall what her disability was.

The guy with tourettes was so funny, calling his date a **** when she was late! I've always found tourettes people funny, they say they can't control what is being said in their ticks yet the stuff that comes out tends to be quite relevant to what most would be thinking!

I missed the first episode. Someone was telling me about the tourettes fella. I'm gonna catch up on it on 4OD.

I saw some of the first episode, but it made me uncomfortable. I feel the people in it are being exploited for entertainment value, not because they are being helped to find love. Not surprising, I know as this is TV after all... but I didn't like it.

Is the lady on the left from Islington?

She looks like a ringer for a neighbour of mine.

Everyone is talking about the closing ceremony at the Olympics and what was their favourite bit.

I just spoke to Nick Griffin, his favourite bit is today when they all fcuk off back home.

I've not yet watched it yet, but i suppose i'll 4od it some time.

I'm not sure if you're right with regards to the entertainment value, but i suppose it does indeed point out, that they too have a sex life, and they all to have their desires to love and to be loved.

I watched an interesting doco on prostitution the other week, from street sex sellers right through to high class call girls. In the said doco, they interviewd a paraplegic man from up in Hull. His father used to drive him to the ferry and across to Hoek van Holland, and then up to Rotterdam. Once there, the man would enter into a brothel that welcomed men with disabilities.

Watching it, I thought it might do the opposite. The guy with the face full of tumors was quite a sad story and being on the TV programme hopefully showed that behind his disfigurement he was just a normal bloke looking for a partner who might be able to look past his physical form. Let's face it, if Dick Here can find love, there's still hope for him yet!

I did find myself thinking, could I date a raspberry or window licker?............not sure I could tbh.

I watched it last week. I was worried it was a bit of CH4 exploitation, but actually came across as quite touching.

I was really pleased with the tourettes guy, as his swearing was classic sexual stuff. What was most funny, was that the girl he dated was disappointed he didn't swear, though he did let out a "fecking whore" late on, which she was impressed with. Other than that he did seem a really good bloke, though I guess meeting the in laws might be interesting.

She votes Conservative.

Yes, money has been my nemesis but there are other areas of my life which have also been a disappointment to some or other extent."
