If so don't reply cos they didn't work if you are still fat.
Any thin counts been on diets? If so, care to share what you thought of them?
And no posts bought diets being waste of time blah blah blah. Thoughts become things, so choose the good ones.

Posted 18th January 2012 12:21 IP Did weight watchers about 7 or 8 years ago and lost a stone and a half. I've fluctuated since to be honest but never gone back up to being that heavy.

Posted 18th January 2012 12:25 IP I did a low carb diet as my new years resolution thing. I've given up now. Either I lost half a stone in two weeks, or the scales lied to me. I'm going for the latter cos I'm still a fatty. http://www.doitforcharity.com/ngorman

Low carb diets do often work fast, so your scales may not have been lying as much as you thought.
I lost about 2lb over xmas according to the scales at my parents house, but when I weighed myself here my scales said i'd lost another 5lb which is odd as they usually weigh heavier than mum and dad's!
Weight is a strange thing!

Did you feel starved on it? A lot of people have put me off it.
I did Scottish Slimmers a good few years ago and that worked, if I planned out menus etc. I didn't feel hungry. Class instructor has changed though and not liking the new one. Thoughts become things, so choose the good ones.

I can genuinely say, hand on heart that I was feckin ravenous!.. hehe, no, seriously I never felt hungry on it at all. It doesn't seem like you're getting all that much but I never really felt like I was dieting. For me I think it was probably more about portion control.

I'd cheat if I did it online, I need the public humiliation of being on the fatty boom boom scales. Thoughts become things, so choose the good ones.

Posted 20th January 2012 15:51 IP When I've wanted to lose some weight in the past I've always done it by low calorie diets.
I wanted to lose half a stone after Christmas so have been cutting the calories again, lost 4 pounds in the first week and nothing since. Boo!
So I'm wondering what other ways I can try to shift the final few pounds?

Have you tried the lard & Bacardi diet?
The rules are simple: consume as much lard and as much Bacardi rum as you can manage. It has to be white rum, and pure lard -- none of your Zwiebelschmalz. There's a substance in white rum that breaks down the fats in the lard: you end up eating your fill without consuming calories, and feeling too tipsy to care too much about food anyway.
Obviously, this isn't a diet for life -- in any sense of the expression. But it'll shake off the offending few pounds faster than you can say.....something that doesn't have many syllables.

Posted 20th September 2012 01:16 IP Personally i think Diets are a myth, if you wanna lose weight then just exercise at least an hour or two each day for a couple of months, obviously watch what you eat of course, i mean if you're gonna exercise an hour or two each day and eat a McDonalds or a Curry then you're not going anywhere, but you can eat Steaks & Chicken, Pasta & Rice, and much Salad, Fruit & Veg as you like and still lose weight.
I lost 4 stone really quickly through using an exercise bike, walking, running, and eating the above most days, had a treat on weekends as you deserve too, the more you burn off the more food you can have.

Posted 27th April 2013 17:51 IP I have never been into diets because i believe in my own diet plan,That is something which makes me the way i want to rather than having in powders or pills.
Eating the good food in moderation and keeping yourself physically active is all we need.
