I just spoke to Nick Griffin, his favourite bit is today when they all fcuk off back home.

True - although as there's no link I don't know if the renaming of the tower is suggested in reality or a figment of huggy's imagination

The Big Ben nickname originally referred to the 13.5 tonne Great Bell within the tower, but has long been the commonly used name for the clock and tower as a whole.

I heard it on an IRN news bulletin a couple of weeks ago when it was Lizzies diamond jubilee and the pagent was on old Father Thames.
There must have been a parliamentary campaign started as it was passed cross-party. Everyone is talking about the closing ceremony at the Olympics and what was their favourite bit.
