I haven't seen this for some while but seeing as Robert Ginty passed away quite recently I thought I'd pick it up and give it a re-watch.I've got the Optimum disc which is open matte (full screen), uncut and cheap as chips.Anyone else a fan of The Exterminator 1 & 2?

The first Exterminator yes, quite an enjoyable revenge/vigilante flick.

My fave line has to be "That 'nigger' was by best friend you mother fucker"!

Exterminator 2, wasn't too impressed to be honest. Bit of a piss poor pale imitation of the first!

Best Wishes

I love the first but agree with Simon's views on the second film. The 'chicken house' or whatever its called disturbs the heck outta me. Sick. That dude with the soldering iron was nasty. Great film though. I got the Syngery Directors Cut (UK)

I've heard a rumour about a special edition DVD/BD of The Exterminator being released by Synapse sometime in the near future.

I'm gonna get this one, it's region free http://www.amazon.co.uk/Exterminato...22181250&sr=8-2

there is of course this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Extermi...22181250&sr=8-1 but it's more expensive and Arrows seem to fuck up more than not.

If the critics loved it then I probably hate it!!!

I'm not dissing Arrow Video here but is it just me or do they seem to be a pattern going on between them and synapse??? They release a film or announce a release of a film then Arrow release or announce the same title.

I know Arrow have worked with some US company before on BD's by sharing the cost of the film . I think they released UK only and not stateside allowing the USA market for the US company . Euro buyers could then pick which one had best extras. Arrow would normally shoot their own new exclusive extras plus add new booklets as extras .

Yeah, Arrow worked with Blue Underground for the Blu-ray release of City of the Living Dead.I bought the Arrow 2-DVD release of COTLD and will buy the BU Blu-ray at some point so I can have both sets of extras.COTLD is my fave Fulci horror flick.
