Posted January 19th, 2011 11:01 PM IP Just curious about what you guys think about the somewhat new trend in the electronic world and which, if any of the tablets now or in the present you would own.
Personally, I'm waiting for the Motorola Xoom. It comes with a dual core processor, two cameras, and Android's new Honeycomb OS. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

Posted January 19th, 2011 11:24 PM IP I like Android, but imo, nothing beats the iPad in terms of tablet. Everything "just works".

Posted January 20th, 2011 06:34 PM IP I don't think that is changing, especially with what the rumored iPad 2 is going to be offering.

Posted January 24th, 2011 08:41 AM IP ^I was just reading about how Ipad will more than likely NOT lose its grip on the market. I guess there was some electronics convention not to long ago and many of the android based tablets were unfinished and unpolished. wanna keep our god, our freedom, a little money in the bank.....y'all can keep the change.

Posted January 24th, 2011 10:03 AM IP ^That could possibly be because Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) hasn't been completely finished yet but we'll see how it works when it comes out. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

Posted February 1st, 2011 11:13 AM IP The iPad is pretty amazing. I've had it for about a week and can't put it down. Does everything I need to and surprisingly does it very well.

Posted June 6th, 2011 08:17 PM IP Just received my Asus Transformer. It's pretty amazing. I haven't purchased the attachable keyboard yet but I think I will as it adds about 7 hours of battery life to the already 9.5 hours it has. I'm really impressed with it. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

Posted September 9th, 2011 06:02 PM IP Just got an iPad 2. Love it. Installed Apple TV and am streaming my music to my big AV system. Very nice. “You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Posted January 27th, 2012 09:39 AM IP ^and eventually it'll be even faster/smoother as it will be upgraded to android 4.0 ice cream sandwich. I'm waiting (impatiently) for my Asus Transformer to be upgraded OTA. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

I guess I don't understand this post. Every Android tablet that is comparable to the iPad costs as much or more.
And the iPad is much more fluid and intuitive.

IDK how I didn't see this 3 months ago and reply, but the answer is no.
You can do some stuff with Apple's equivalent software, Pages and Numbers, which is awesome software, but is not Word/Excel.
Viewing isn't a problem, editing is.
The iPad definitely isn't a PC replacement. You, me, and the proletariat make three, baby.

U pay for most or all apps on an IPad while Android apps R open source code, cheap or free and easy to write apps if u have programming experience. Yes some Androids r higher cost, but u can expand memory with a card, add I/O ports. With an Ipad its WYSIWUG. You can't add any hardware and you pay the price for a IPAD with more memory a lot more.
Apple has always been overpriced on all of their products, beside using cheap labor from China and violating child labor laws. Apple is just a greedy company, if Microsoft (Bill Gates) wouldn't have save them years ago, the IPAD would only be an IWISH product. lol On the Beach
