Old *** Boston won't beat this team either, everyone that hates the Heat had better hope Bosh is gone for the year.

One thing Boston has that Indy didn't are proven playoff scorers and a guy who can go out and "get his"...

Rondo will create much more than George Hill or Collison did...

Paul is more of a legit scorer than Granger, who seemed ok with chucking up 3's despite Indy's inside advantage.

I don't think we see Bosh this round either, unless he's rushed back.. Doing that could actually hurt him more though.

Jackhammer,Probably have watched more basketball than most, actually a Cavs season ticket holder during some of the Lebron years. Still go to 6-8 games a year and rarely miss one on TV.Count me in the minority but I'm one of the few that likes pro ball much more than college ball. The Pacers team that played game 5 and 6 were S O F T,just like one of the greatest ever to play the game said. When you get this far in the NBA playoffs and play SOFT for even 1 half there is no excuse. This late in the season SOFT teams go home.Just like LeQuit and the Cavs did a few years back.

If I'm not mistaken, Galaxy won it all last year, and Sparks have traditionally been solid in the WNBA. I don't really pay much attention to either/or.

Please, look at the games. Indiana is not a soft team. James and Wade made lots of ridiculous shots. Roy Hibbert, David West, Hansbrough and Hill are not soft. Sure they played soft in game 5, but in game 6 they were outmatched talent wise. Could they have excuted better? Absolutely, but a lack of execution doesn't mean you are soft, that is ridiculous.

Boston is a much better team at half court execution opposed to Indiana. I am not sure Boston is a better defensive team though. Rondo can cause havick, but Pierce and Allen will have trouble playing with James and Wade. Boston also better figure out how to rebound (which they are horrible at) or it will be a long series. 2 months ago I would have liked Boston's chances. The way Miami is playing I would be surprised if it went 6.

I have to retract a statement I made before the postseason... I believe SF made a comment about SA being a contender and I said the only real title contenders were OKC and Miami...

I felt this during the last round but never came to posting it, but SA may be the best team in the playoffs. The way they have been playing is jsut a basketball enthusiasts dream. The team runs some beautiful offense. The old "boring" moniker does not apply to this current Spurs team.

Slashers, shooters, inside presence... They have it all.

i wrote off the Spurs also, but the funny thing is they have been here before:

the last time the NBA went thru a short season, the Spurs got hot down the stretch and steamrolled everyone in the playoffs

remarkable that they are at it again a decade later, under similar circumstances

Call me crazy, but after witnessing what Miami did to Indiana they might be the favorite. Don't get me wrong, Indiana shot themselves in the foot a bunch, but if James and Wade hit those shots they hit, I am not sure how to beat them.

That said, Go Spurs Go.

Yeah they hit some big time shots, even cooler was having the officials in their back pockets tonight.

Stern knows the Celtics are old, needs the Heat to win it all.

Joel Anthony just pushing people around down low and getting away with it. Officials very quick to bust Technical's out on the Celtics.

Heat were up like 13 with 4 mins to go and Baby Bron Bron started bitching about a foul call that didn't go their way, did he get T'd up?

NBA is a joke anymore!

I hope the Spurs/Thunder bend those Cry baby bastards over and make them bleed. Sorry for the vulgarity!

Celtics got 5 T's and none of them were worthy of being called a technical.

Let's not pretend this situation is unique to the NBA. All leagues are star driven for ratings. In MLB stike zones expand and contract depending on who is pitching or hitting. In the NFL holding, pass interference calls, and the now ever so popular illegal hits to the qb are called based on who is playing in the game. Not to worry, the officials will definitely give the Celtics a game or two in Boston. The NBA needs this to go at least six games to generate revenue. Although the fix is definitely in for the Heat to win, it should be very interesting to see out west if they allow the wiley old Spurs to get to the finals for one last run at glory or if they step in and create a marquis match up between OKC and the Heat.

I agree with the terrible officiating, but I stand by my original point. If LBJ and Wade are going crazy and hitting the shots they are hitting it is goodnight.

Do the finals start on a set day, or do they start 2-3 days after these conference finals are over.

If the latter, then I hope for Miami and SA sweeps before Bosh can come back healthy.

Westbrook needs to quit shooting so much, Durant was 10-17, Harden was 10-13 and he went 10-24.

Fisher was 2-11.

Finals game #1 starts on June 12th unless both conference finals end in 4 or 5 games, then they move it up to June 10th.

If it comes down to Spurs/Heat, I bet 90% of the country will be pulling for the Spurs.

I think Bosh will play in the finals. He is already drilling on the court and he has 2 more weeks to heal. If him and Mike Miller are mostly healthy I would give Miami a slight edge.

I'm still sticking with the Spurs...

Don't like Miami but I really hate Boston, especially KG. Should be a 7 game series, and pretty tough to call at this point. I'll stick with Miami I suppose...

I got away from the pro level for a few years. Have been watching a little lately. And then I was reminded why to look away. Jeff Van Gundy was cleaning the spittle from his whistle when he commented on the respect between the players. Calling out and trash talking each other is respect? Glad all of them do not feel this way. Raise the basket at this level. These guys are very athletic. Some of their passes would have to be a little sharper before they could put in the hole. Course it is entertainment to jam it home. Little kids love it and buy their shoes. Ok I get it.

I wrote the Spurs off after they started 8-0 in the postseason

Whittaker the Scarecrow of NOSF should understand that teams that start HOT in the playoffs cool off and another team wins the Title, but he's a Scarecrow so he thinks the Playoff Champ was always the best team and not the team that got HOT at the right time.

NBA Teams to in the 7-7-7-7 format to Sweep 4-0 in the 1st 2 rounds - Now there have been 4
2012 - San Antonio - Down 3-2 in the WCF
------- Won by 15, 31, 12, 6, 16, 17, 10, 3

2010 - Orlando - Lost in ECF 4-2
------- Won by 9, 15, 4, 9, 43, 14, 30, 14

2009 - Cleveland - Lost in ECF 4-2
------ Won by 18, 12, 11, 21, 17, 20, 15, 10 ------ only team in this format to win them all by double digits

2005 - Miami - Lost in ECF 4-3
------ Won by 18, 17, 3, 13, 19, 6, 7, 4

2012 Spurs = Best record in the NBA
2010 Magic = 2nd best record in the NBA behind the Cavs
2009 Cavs = Best record in the NBA and 66 wins to boot
2005 Heat = 2nd best record in the NBA, best in the East
