Posted June 12th, 2012 10:33 PM IP There is more strategy involved in the NL.
I don't mind it. But I hate hate hate having to pick between pulling your SP or letting him bat in the 7th or 8th inning in a tight/close game. Give a man a fish, he eats for a night. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.

Posted June 12th, 2012 11:10 PM IP That's part of what makes it fun. I've enjoyed interleague although my Reds haven't so much.

Posted June 12th, 2012 11:13 PM IP I like it, and I think it should be interesting to see what the new version of it looks like next year
here's a pretty good read about what the new schedule format will probably look like:
http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/page...right-direction
main points from it:
• 20 interleague games per team.
• No more than one interleague series per day in April and over the last five weeks.
• No more than one road interleague series per team in the final five weeks.
• Division-by-division matchups rotate annually.
• Every team in a division will play the same five teams in a corresponding division in the other league, plus four "rivalry" games.
• Only four "rivalry" games per team, likely played home-and-home and back-to-back in this format: Monday-Tuesday in one park, Wednesday-Thursday in the other.

Posted June 13th, 2012 11:28 AM IP next year will be interesting as they mix it in throughout the season.
I think it was a good idea at first and something different but to tell you the truth at this point I would rather see the Indians play the Yankees or Red Sox more then most of the national league teams. I don't mind it but also wouldn't mind if it went away I think we found Kyrie Irving

Posted June 13th, 2012 03:03 PM IP I wish they would use the DH in NL parks and let the pitchers bat in the AL parks, just so you could really see what the other league looks like.

I agree, gives the fans of the different leagues an opportunity to see how the other league plays.

Posted June 13th, 2012 06:07 PM IP I just hope they eliminate the unbalanced divisional schedule. I hate that the Indians play the Reds the same number of times as Toronto (6), only 8 times with Baltimore, and 18 with Detroit, Kansas City, Chicago, and Minnesota.. GO TIGERS!

Posted June 13th, 2012 09:33 PM IP I doubt the 18 games vs division opponents will be going away anytime soon.
Anyway, regarding interleague, one thing that doesn't seem to explained yet is what they will do whenever your division is playing the the division that your "rivalry" opponent is in. You'd either have to play that team 7 times, or play a series against some team from one of the other 2 divisions.
