The bigger reason, which most assumed, is because Jim Foster was just fired by Ohio State. Yep, that's right.

Posted March 19th, 2013 05:13 PM IP IMO foster did alot of good things for the girls within OSU.. the way he handled Caity Matter's brothers death as he was the one that broke the news to her, the way he handled Sammy P. and her troubled background.
he's a great guy,,, BUT
and there is a but.
his recruiting has been HORRIBLE.. there are about 10 girls he's brought in that were beasts. there are 1000's that he never went after ..
failure to go deep into the NCAA tournaments, big downfall..
great guy, didnt do enough to make the program one of the elites like the mens program has become.
time for a new leader.. THE TIGER NATION.. represented in 50 states and parts of Canada!

Posted March 19th, 2013 05:22 PM IP $425,004 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good point on Caity Matter and Sammy P. but ...
Wise to turn down the NIT? Was that a unilateral decision? Got injuries. But, got 5 or 6 players...
U.T. and B.G have become the women's b.ball places. That will not stand.
My God, that's a lot of money; not Thad money but...

Posted March 20th, 2013 03:33 PM IP With incentives Foster was making around 700,000-800,000.
Next year his base salary would have been 500,000 plus another 300,000 in additional compensation.

Posted March 20th, 2013 07:55 PM IP How many Ohio Miss Basketball's left for another college instead of going to Ohio State. Can't remember their names but a few went to UCONN and some to Tennessee. If those girls would have stayed in state the Lady Buckeyes would have been a helluva alot better. "When all is said and done, there is usually more said than done."

I will be jumping back and forth between the OSU/Iowa State game and the women's Delaware/West Virginia game that will feature Elena Delle Donne, who has her Blue Hen's on a 25 game win streak going into today's game on ESPN2.
I have become a big fan of this amazing young lady, who is a 3 time All-American and finishing out her senior year.

Posted March 24th, 2013 04:12 PM IP Think Delaware got adequate recognition, ranked as high as 10th A.P. and ESPN/USA Today and finishing the season ranked 15th and 16th in both polls.
They garnered 2 of their 3 season losses in the first 6 games that Elene Dell Donne sat while recovering from injury.
Should be an interesting matchup with North Carolina in the next round. Government has no resources of its own.
