Posted July 19th, 2012 01:42 PM IP Recruit #15 today for the good guys. Maryland WR Tavion Jacobs committed today to the Buckeyes. He's a 4.35 40 guy. Looks like Shelton Gibson won't be needed since we have Marshall and Jacobs now for the slot/speed guy.
I know some will come on here and say he's only a 3* but he's the real deal. Plays good competition, etc. Plus he has a 3.3 GPA and sounds like a good kid.

Quite often the 'off the radar' prospects turn out to be real gems.
They haven't received the accolades and praise that develop attitudes and false sense of self worth that make a, difficult to coach, young primadonna.
Welcome to the Buckeye Nation Tavion! Government has no resources of its own.
Government can only give to us what it has previously taken from us.

Posted July 23rd, 2012 08:30 AM IP Ohio State offers Michigan commit David Dawson. He's out of Cass Tech in Detroit. Sounds like there are some rumblings that he will decommit from Michigan. Not necessarily to go to Ohio State but to re-look around.

Seniors will not come here since we have our own post season ban. Look for any Jr that wants to be a part of the 2013 NC hunt.

Posted July 24th, 2012 07:00 PM IP Four-star CB Ross from Avon has switched from PSU to UM today. Take a nap at the ball game, catching up on some Z's. Buy me a five hour energy, take a nap with Hernandez and Ken Griffey. Snooze, snooze, snooze 'cause it's boring...if I wake up it is a shame. For it's 3, 4, 5 hours long at the old ball game.

Posted July 25th, 2012 07:45 AM IP I love the Ross Douglass pick up for Michigan. Reminds me alot of current CB Courtney Avery. Not the fastest, biggest or strongest but just a damn solid football player.
FWIW expect Michigan to take a full class of 25 or atleast thats what the experts are saying. I'd rather spend eternity in hell than spend five minutes in a heaven filled with people like vogel.

In his current role as a nickel back he is very solid imo. Avery is not a field or a boundray corner he doesnt have the speed to play field or the size to play boundray. He is however quick and a very smart player which translates well in the nickelback slot. In our defense the nickelback is primarily responsible for the slot and almost always has safety support.
Douglas is similar size wise to Avery and is perhaps a touch more athletic. He should do well as a nickelback after a redshirt year. I'd rather spend eternity in hell than spend five minutes in a heaven filled with people like vogel.

Posted July 26th, 2012 10:41 AM IP How many schollies does Michigan have left? I thought they only had 1 which they were holding for Treadwell? Although Green is the kind of talent that you find a scholly for........I figured we would eventually be out on Green. It seemed like he went from an Ohio State lock to every update after being a little less promising and lately it's been dismal.

2 spots.
CB Terrance Talbott has left the program, which has opened up 1 more.
Talbott's leaving is not surprising as he almost left last season.

Posted July 26th, 2012 10:57 AM IP It's funny how a lot of Michigan recruits have turned out to be players Ohio State no longer recruits, one's that need to earn a scholly at camp and chose Michigan instead of camping, etc.
Green will fit that mold. It looked like Ohio State moved on and Michigan immediately pounces. Having Hyde and Dunn the bigger back isn't a pressing need for this year but I would think next year we will need one for sure. We still have other positions we need more than a big RB. With all of that said, I do think Michigan's offense would be better suited for Green than the Buckeyes.....I see Green going to Clemson when it's all said and done (unless he really likes bbq).

Not sure who you are referring to with the "a lot" comment....and on Green specifically.
Green has had a Michigan offer for a long time, it wasn't just extended for one thing. Secondly he was "on the backburner" so to speak because of Ty Isaac, not anything OSU related.
Isaac was Michigan's #1 RB target...period. They wanted 2 and DeVeon Smith jumped on board back in the spring. Isaac was ALWAYS #1 and Smith and Green were behind him.
Once Isaac committed to SC Michigan turned up the heat on Green..it had nothing to do with OSU..

Posted July 26th, 2012 12:39 PM IP Top of my head, McCray and Conley. Not sure who all Michigan has recruited but I do know it "seemed" as the majority of the Ohio talent they got, yes I realize Kalis, Thomas, etc had offers were players that tOSU had asked them to camp before an offer and they jumped on the Michigan offer instead.......hey kudos to Michigan. Different recruiting strategies, we'll find out which worked best in a 2 or 3 years.
Not starting a flame war with Michigan fans, just seemed Urban wanted the "camp with us" committment before he would offer a committable offer.
And yes, Green is different especially after Issac went to USC.

Posted July 26th, 2012 12:54 PM IP We have Brionte Dunn, Warren Ball, plus Zeke Elliot who continues to dominate all camps he goes too so it sucks but I'm not worried. Hopefully we can end with the likes of Mike Mitchell, an OL, WR( Foster, Quick, or Allen) and maybe Vonn Bell

Posted July 29th, 2012 07:49 AM IP Ohio State picks up a commitment yesterday from 2* OT Tim Gardner out of Lawerence Central High in Indiana. He's a 6'5 320 pounder who had offers from the likes of Indiana, Purdue and Louisville.
Robert Foster also released a top 5 that did not include OSU but for some reason had Michigan in it. I REALLLYYY doubt that Michigan is actually in it for Foster. I'd rather spend eternity in hell than spend five minutes in a heaven filled with people like vogel.

Posted July 29th, 2012 01:54 PM IP Gardner was praised by Orlando Pace and LeCharles Bentley for his performance. He has lost weight and looks real solid on film. Like the pickup alot. I went to FNL here are a few of my observations: 1) Kizer didn't look great, looked ok at the end 2) Drew Barker was the best QB there 3) Joey Bosa is a man amongst boys and Billy Price is a beast as well and even bigger than I thought. 4) Gibson is a strider who had his way with the 1 on 1's, but the CBs were subpar and even though I hope he becomes a great Buckeye I still dont love him. 5) Watkins from Galion always stepped up in drills among everyone and went first. He isn't a great route runner obviously but he still won alot of 1 on 1's based on athleticism
