Galion will bring Wallace up and shadow seifert just like they did against Tiffin's RB!

Wallace may be fast but Seifert is arguably one of the 5 fastest runner's in the state. If i'm not mistaken he was turning sub 11 second 100 meter time's last season prior to his hamstring injury. Fortionetly for Galion he's a very stiff runner who is pretty much just a strict east/west runner. If he get's around the corner though good luck

Quick question, is Eastwood a running team or a passing team or a combination of both?

And then Eastwood all should have to do is get in pro or con, and run 3 vertical and throw to the TE...all this has happened before and all this will happen again.

Yeah Galion's a lot of nice things but run stoppers they are not from the games I've seen. Watson and Deblase piled up the yards and if Willard would have abandoned the pass and run all game it would have been much closer.

Galion's front 4 doesn't look huge on D and they've been pushed back from the games I've seen. I do think their overall D is nice, and is ball happy with turnovers.

Brooks & Wallace looked unstoppable last week even though it was against Bellevue's paper defense. I think Galion will outscore Eastwood and get ahead by more than 2 scores, which will force Eastwood out of a patient running attack and lead to a Tiger victory.

You got to get better on D if you want to win this game and your kicking game is a little sluggish. You got a great running attack,it is week 11 ad you are in the playoff spot light. I know how it is to be the better seed and lose. Eastwood played a couple 10-0 teams thereselves. Clyde lost a tough game to them. Good luck Galion.

The only problem for Eastwood is that their qb can't hit the broad side of a barn.

You constantly say Genoa has played no one.

Yet, you say Galion has played MULTIPLE teams.

Eastwood ranks higher than ANYONE Galion has played so far. Vogel and Cal Preps agree on that.

Genoa beat them 54-11. So if Genoa beat a team better than anyone Galion has played so far, and Galion has played good teams, then how can Genoa not have played anyone?

This is why you Galion people are in such fantasy land. Genoa would destroy you if you got in a game with them. They are Great. You just like Eastwood are borderline playoff teams. Eastwood and Galion both are teams that make the playoffs, but the State Caliber teams laugh at you because they know 54-11 type games are the likely result when they play you.

You better show up you are the FAVORITE. It would be sad if you lost to Eastwood, a team that would finish bottom half of the NOL in a typical year.

Galion is the FAVORITE vs Eastwood. Too bad Galion people think just keeping it close means they proved the NOL was good this year. You are the FAVORITE vs a team that would finish bottom half of the NOL in most years. You better win.

They have a big bruiser fullback #37 that runs hard and runs people over. Seifert #24 is a good back, their line looks big, defensively they have a nice middle backer, their db's don't look very good. Genoa hit alot of short routes (slants, hooks and sweep) and that opened up the long seams and posts routes. I think Brooks will have a big game, and Galion should beable to throw the ball to open up the run game.

I guess my biggest "fear" for Galion is the fact Eastwood's making their 6th Playoff appearance in the last 8 years, including the last couple. So, this group of Eagles know what to expect.

I would agree 100% with that Jake. Galion doesn't know what to expect since it's been 20 years in between playoff teams. I do feel that Galion is the better the team.

#47 is a BGSU committ for Oline - he is TE.
#24 Siefert is a Halfback and is good. The like the jet sweep.
#37 is the FB - tough hard runner.

They went to a wing T this year after being old school run and shoot for years. They still break out the run and shoot once in a while but are more wing T. Trap, Buck, Waggle, and ISO. They hurt us with the TE drag (#47). When they pass, its a big play. They are dangerous in the return game and have a nice kicker. They do things well. They are a 40 front on defense. #47 is one of the two better kids we faced this year.

At this point al I can say that IMO Galion would be 8-2 if they played Eastwood's schedule just like Eastwood. They would get smacked by both Genoa and PH just like Eastwood so we'll find out this weekend who is better...

Dude.... I've posted fact after fact after f'n fact. Your stupid *** won't see past your same repeated posts. I've said all along Genoa is a great team.... but they haven't been tested because they've played NOBODY! And the people they have played haven't played anybody! Look at how many 0-10 teams they played or their opponents played. Don't you think there's a reason that when you go by computer points that Galion ranked higher than Genoa? Don't you think when you break down strength of schedule there is a reason why Genoa is dead last? Because their schedule was weaker than your stupid statements.

Now with that said..... They ran up some very nice scores againt these 0-10 teams. Some very nice scores. And the 7-3 team they beat (Eastwood) got their 7 wins against ridiculously bad teams. Eastwood would finish no better than 4th in the NOL. Count on it.
Galion, Tiffin, Shelby, Bellevue would all beat Eastwood. So why are you making it such a big point that Genoa beat them? And if Galion doesn't beat them who cares. Dude - you had Bellevue and Tiffin winning the league. Galion fans are happy with whatever happens in the playoffs. We had a dream season. And some douche bag from Willard can't shut his mouth because he has nothing better to do in Willard land now that there's nothing worth cheering for in the cupboards. Well do us all a favor buddy -- go to the NOL baskeball thread and tell us how terrible Willard is going to be this year.

Then you better beat them. Would be embarrassing if Galion lost to a team you said would be no better than 4th in an atrocious season for the NOL.

By the way who's the 3rd NOL team that would beat Eastwood? I can only think of 2 this year from the NOL capable of beating an 8-2 team.

Vogel Rankings for Eastwood

2009
74.647 - Eastwood
Play 72.684 Galion - Galion is at home and Galion is a 1 pt favorite

2008
83.022 - Eastwood
Round 1 - Lost to Marion Pleasant (Didn't save my rankings for some outlier conferences from last year (Pleasant was the favorite though)

2007
84.800 - Eastwood
Round 1 - beat 75.978- Elyria Catholic
Round 2 - beat 82.875 - Genoa
Round 3 - lost to 93.760 - Marion Pleasant

2006
73.048 - Eastwood ---- missed playoffs

I'm sure I'll be told I'm only posting this because Galion's rating isn't as high as any of these other teams. Can't win with the Galion Homers. They take everything as a dig at them.

Thanks xparty07, but gifferoo listed 4 teams which would put Eastwood 5th. He said they'd finish 4th. 4th behind who? Only 2 teams in the NOL finished better than 1978-present day Norwalk.

So he's saying Eastwood is no better than 1978-present day Norwalk?

Wow, then 10-0 Galion should win by 40.

Eastwood is complete trash in his eyes.

Well.....he said Eastwood would lose to those 4 teams, which would obviously give them as many losses in the NOL. Galion, Tiffin, and Bellevue all finished with less than four losses.....so I'd imagine those are the three he thinks would finish above them.

For the record, IMO that claim is retarded. Bellevue has no defense whatsoever and Shelby couldn't even beat Willard. To state in a convincing tone that either would beat Eastwood is laughable.

My comments about eastwood are being facetious.... and getting under Vogel's skin. Job well done. I haven't seen Eastwood play one game.

But looking at their schedule I think for sure Galion, Tiffin, Bellevue would give them a good game. Bellevue would pour on the points it would be up to their defense to get a couple of stops. Tiffin would win by 3 td's. Galion should win by 2-3 td's as well. Vag has them as a 1 point favorite, so if they win by more than 1 point they are the NE patriots and will win the state championship.
