Posted February 22nd, 2012 10:29 PM IP It's going to get old real quick for the teams traveling to Jonathan Alder and Fairbanks. They used to complain on the trips to North Union and Buckeye Valley.
It makes the eastern schools happy as it keeps them small and the Morrow/Knox County in the same division which is good for them. I don't see this being the end of the movement especially since Upper/Galion are in the NW district.
If they don't push for the cross-divisional games it would be a lot better for playoff pushes. But let the schools determine who they play, not the league for the cross-divisonal non-conference match ups. Champions are made in the off-season.

Posted February 23rd, 2012 04:58 PM IP I would like to see On cross game in football, make it count as a conference game, not sure how teams would be matched?, If JA was not such a big outlier i would say by size, Or you could do an over all champion game at the end, But again I realize there are problems to doing this. I just hope Northmor stops playing Crestline, I know that there is TONS of History there, But few computer points to win there,
I agree I complain about BV and NU all the time, But JA is Far worse,
Anyway there is a lot to be determined SOON!

Posted February 23rd, 2012 07:45 PM IP If you're worried about Crestline in computer points, what makes it think it's going to be good for Pleasant or Galion playing Northmor?
Cross over games should only be considered if the ADs want that for non-conference. Nothing like seeing the top 3 teams in the Blue Division with one or two losses and not win the championship, but the Red Division go 6-4 and be the league champion. No thank you.
Especially for JA, Fairbanks and North Union... let them play teams in non-conference with natural rivals.
Northmor and Crestline need to keep playing each other, small distance, similar sizes and big gates. Champions are made in the off-season.

Posted February 23rd, 2012 08:13 PM IP ^^ Agree. You only get computer points when you win. Northmor needs to build their program up with wins over anyone, before concerning themselves with computer points.

Posted February 25th, 2012 10:55 AM IP also, Jonathan Alders enrollment numbers for boys this year were lower than river valley and buckey valley,
Also, northmor is only 10 boys from being d6.

Posted February 25th, 2012 11:23 PM IP If there ends up being two 8 team divisions there is no reason to have crossover games. This is a much stronger football conference than the NCC is, especially with the addition of Alder. Galion's underclassmen better start eating their Wheaties now if they want to contend.

From the looks of that list... the MOAC has been Pleasant's B-I-_-C-H in football for sometime. President of the Dead Horse Society.
Commissioner of the Holmes County Rake Fighting Association.
And now known as a hair splitter.

Posted February 28th, 2012 09:49 AM IP Alder hasn't been part of the conference. That being said Pleasant will still contend every year they just might not win it.

Posted July 23rd, 2012 11:29 PM IP Also, to add, not Football related but how good is Galion baseball now? Because playing in a conference with a team like Alder who is also a big baseball school, its going to be hard for them to contend in that conference.
Holy cow, Galion is in for long drives back and forth when they travel to Fairbanks, Alder and NU. I live in Hilliard and driving to Plain City still takes me a solid 20-25 mins.
