Posted November 3rd, 2011 01:55 PM IP Actually, West Holmes has been looking to leave for a while now. Ideally the OCC would like to add a few teams and divide into east and west divisions.

Posted November 25th, 2011 11:47 PM IP The story I heard from a solid source is that the western contingent is looking to split away and come up with something league-wise in the Mansfield area.
President of the Dead Horse Society.
Commissioner of the Holmes County Rake Fighting Association.
And now known as a hair splitter.

Posted December 13th, 2011 04:00 PM IP I do know as fact that both Dover and New Philly are very unsatisfied with the new allignment of the ECOL and would be very open to some type of affiliation with Ashland, West Holmes, Orrville, and Wooster.
Clear Fork is a small enough school that they would have multiple options available. The "Mansfield" schools are going to need a more specific fit due to their larger size. NOL maybe?

Posted December 13th, 2011 10:50 PM IP Why don't we start a new league with Ontario, Lex, Clear Fork, Galion, Shelby, Willard,Upper, Then Maybe Madison or Ashland. Just a thought. They seem to be pretty close in size, short travel.

Posted December 14th, 2011 08:13 AM IP Ashland, Lexington, Madison and Mansfield Sr will not look to seperate and Clear Fork is happy where they are but are listening to offers. bottom of the ninth, not time outs, it's 4th down with no fouls to give and I'm swinging for the fence.

Ok so hypothetical scenario:
Richland County forms a league of 10 not 8 with the following schools: Mansfield Senior, Madison Comp., Ontario, Lexington, Clear Fork, Shelby, Crestview (also in Richland Co.), Willard (from north), Ashland (from east), and Galion (from west).
This leaves opening in Firelands Conference for St. Mary's Central Catholic.
Which leaves opening in Sandusky Bay Conference which could go to 10 teams with: Clyde, Huron, Edison, Port Clinton, Perkins, Oak Harbor, Margaretta, Norwalk, Bellevue, and Sandusky.
Vermilion would look to go east and Columbian would go westward.
Like I said, COMPLETELY hypothetical. Any thoughts?

Posted January 23rd, 2012 03:04 PM IP Do you split into big and small school? Sr., Madison, Lex, Shelby and Ashland as big schools. Ontario, Clear Fork, Crestview, Willard and Galion as the small teams. Any crossover games?

Posted February 16th, 2012 07:58 AM IP Every school in the OCC is looking to cut drive expenses for their district. Adding schools that would increase total costs is not going to be received well. bottom of the ninth, not time outs, it's 4th down with no fouls to give and I'm swinging for the fence.

That could work. But also the Firelands may also look at Lucas to join. But also with the possibility of the mapleton joining Ashland as a single school could open the door for both Lucas and St. Mary's Central Catholic.

Posted February 23rd, 2012 12:23 PM IP The 4 Richland OCC schools and Ashland may be looking at options but joining the NOL is not one of them. Working with a few of the NOL schools may be but not joining the NOL. bottom of the ninth, not time outs, it's 4th down with no fouls to give and I'm swinging for the fence.
