Posted May 6th, 2011 12:52 PM IP Finally got a computer that works after this very wet softball season is almost over but better late than never.Anyway was just wondering who you all thought should get all league honors in the NOL.
My picks for first team:
Jordan,Bellevue
Wood&Cox,Upper
Miller,Hostetler,Shelby
Fried,Nedolast,Willard
Babb,Fostoria
Thats just a few from me just based on how they performed against Upper. As far as second team or HM I would have to think on that.

Season isnt over, missing the Tiffin girls and there infield, well never seen them make errors and have seen them make great plays while playing Bellevue. Lilly for bellevue is def a great infielder, with a high on base percentage and batting average with speed on the bases. Coaches vote so it will be interesting.

First of all, isn't this forum for expressing OPINIONS and providing INFORMATION? One person's mindset is different than another's and he/she gets ridiculed for it?
Second....I am neither related nor do I even know anyone from that family. I just like to follow Lady Red athletics. I get frustrated with good quality players that you see busting their butts, putting up respectable numbers, and being leaders who don't have the name recognition or a parent who has their nose up the coach's "you know what", get cast aside when the voting comes in. This holds true for many girls in all the programs. The only reason her name came up was because she stands out the most to me. But hey, that's just my OPINION.

Posted May 17th, 2011 06:28 PM IP Do the league coaches vote for all league? If so i would think it really does not matter who's nose is up the coaches buttocks. I know that coaches cannot vote for their own players so you have to earn the respect from the coaches you play against.

Posted May 17th, 2011 06:41 PM IP Coaches nominate players from the team, from there other coaches vote. So it doesnt matter who is up the coaches butt.
I actually think a lot of people are getting the right idea on this thread. But hey just my opinion too, just an opinion.
Good luck to the teams on the rest of the season, may mother nature help us out to get these games in before graduation.

Good quality players-busting their butts-putting up respectable numbers -being a leader- is exactly what a player is supposed to do--- a starter--- that is their job. That is what makes a good team. Being a player is an honor and needs to be earned. Who wants bad quality, non leaders, puttin up no numbers?
Kraut is definitely allowed his/her opinion. and it has been said often in writing and out loud! well, for the last few years anyhow. I am looking for the Lady Red following in the comments for track, cross country, golf, tennis.

Always have been always will be.
Also they will lie about being related when challenged, to try and defend the integrity of the great things they just got done saying about their relative.
Now that we know all this, we can get back to the discussion.

Ask the coaches, they're the one's voting. Plus, a coach CANNOT vote for any of his own kids. President of the Dead Horse Society.
Commissioner of the Holmes County Rake Fighting Association.
And now known as a hair splitter.

1%er here too.
I'm thinking that the 3 players thing is incorrect, by the way.

Posted May 22nd, 2011 08:28 AM IP Well believe all the NOL teams are done in tournament play. So the All NOL should be posted soon followed by all District. And I believe 5 girls from each team can be submitted by the coach

Yes 5 girls each from the NOL teams, votes were turn in last week, but some
teams still have games to make up as of this week, Galion to play at Fostoria Tuesday 24th. All district selections were done as of Sunday 22nd. and the
Northwest district selections to the state were also completed on Sunday, the NOL selections SHOULD be out this week, but who knows.
