The snow is melting and practice starts Monday....who are the favorites in 2011? NR went to state but lost several key seniors, Mohawk lost heavy too but has a ton of young talent, SW has a good pitcher back and Carey and NB also have a lot of talent back and their pitchers. Maybe Carey and NB as early favorites due to experience and depth but league should be very competitive among top 5-6 teams.

NR off to 3-0 start and NB is 4-1...Carey 3-1...looks like another good year for softball in MAL...several freshmen girls pitching too with NR and Carey using freshmen as their #1 starter so far...Mohawk also has a couple freshmen who will pitch

Fremont paper shows that St Joe beat Margaretta last night 2-1. I think it said St. Joe record is now 6-3 with losses to Clyde and Woodmore twice.

6-3 for SJCC is not bad as Clyde and Woodmore are pretty good...young NR team is 5-0 and Carey 5-1....NB scoring a ton of runs and they are 6-1 maybe? Young Mohawk team will be better as year goes along too. MAL softball looks pretty good again this year.

New Riegel moved to 7-0 Saturday by beating Margaretta 4-3 and Willard 6-3.
