What cracks me up is this: If Galion (big school) according to madhatter, is going to "year-in, year-out" beat up on the "small" schools if there was not 2 divisions for the new "old" NCC, why in the heck would Colonel Crawford schedule Galion as a non-league game the past 12 years or so? CC has gotten beat the past 8 times and yet they continue to play Galion. So now that Galion is in the NCC, it is not okay to get beat for a "league" game like it was for a non-league game?

Same reason as Galion scheduled Mansfield Senior.

Again Mr. Green you have shown wisdom fair greater than the likes on this board could ever comprehend. Me included.Thank you for compressing 30 pages of bs into 2 lines. It is over and done with, move on to a better place. Galion is going to better off playing schools their size or bigger.

Right!! They're not in the same league! Galion would not want to be in the same league as Senior But as a non-league game it is okay and good for the team to play them.
Again Salty, yes most know that Galion had no problem w/ expansion but as was written in todays paper other than 2 or 3 "Big School" options most of the schools who could have been brought in to expand were "Small Schools" which not only would have kept Wynford in the "Big" side but possibly bumped a couple other "Small" schools up to the "Big" side. Which would have made the "Small" side very competitive but you would have had quite a mess in the "Big" side.
And the other issue with this mess, is that many of you are just looking at this from a Football perspective... Right or Wrong or whether you like or hate Wynford, Wynford football will be good (not as good, as previous yrs) the next several years but the big issues w/ Wynford, BC, Crestline, CC, Bucyrus & Riverdale is competing against the "Big Schools" (especially Ontario) in other boys & girls sports along with at the Junior High level.
Across the board, Ontario for the past many years have beaten the crap out of all the small schools at 7th 8th & 9th grade levels in all sports. Willy "the Silly" Filly constantly posts all the beat-downs that Ontario's Junior High & Freshman teams put on the other NCC teams in every sport!
Again, the reason for the New League, is simple: The expansion needed to be within the "Big" side and for whatever reason that could not get done, so the "Small" side teams said we are out-of-here. Period!! Right or wrong - that is it! Everyone needs to move on!! "I've missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot . . . and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

CC and Galion not in same league before this year. If you remember, CC and Galion used to play OOC one of the first three games of the year. This year, the game moved to week 6 when they were now in same league.

Posted December 8th, 2011 11:08 AM IP After reading this article, all I can say is lack of leadership.
http://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com...-NCC-s-break-up
To expand immediately, as madhatter would suggest, takes a lot of dominos to fall. Heck the NCC president is quoted "Once we added Galion and Upper to the league it was like that is the start of the expansion, but it needs to continue," Dotson said. "I think in hindsight looking back I don't think we had a clear plan of what that expansion was going to be. I think that caused part of the problem, what was the direction, so that once the opportunity came to expand we would all be on the same page with that."
No clear plan?? Wowsers.

Same thing that almost brought down the NOL.
And to think these people were able to obtain advanced degrees.
I wonder if we'll ever learn that a diploma from most colleges is little more than a receipt for the checks mom and dad wrote.

Two of them would have required the demise of another league. It isn't like hindsight provided some new information they didn't have available to them back then. Those admins are in serious need of an eye exam.

How can you have the admins. run the league they have enough stress trying to run the school district with all the demands from the state and local people.
Also why don't the new league get Northmor in their league that be a a good move for the ones wanted the big schools out with and easy win

It was just you tail-tuckers that thought (and gleefully) that the NOL would crumble. We handed your arses to you for 65 years and since you couldn't beat us on the field or courts you hoped leaving would ruin the League. You failed for 65 years on the fields and courts and you tail-tuckers failed are ruining the NOL. You guys are CLASSIC losers.

One vote isn't enough to keep a school out, it takes three, The other 2 were Small schools......who desperately wanted expansion....imagine that.....more deception. 13

In 2076, when Willard has been the smallest school in the conference for most of 65 years, you will have room to lecture Upper about loyalty and tail-tucking.
I will instruct my seed to give your seed(God help us) a plus 1 should Willard last that long.
In the meantime, shouldn't you be lambasting Mohawk, Carey, Seneca East, Wynford, Col. Crawford, Crestline, Riverdale, Ridgedale and Vermillion for switching conferences? Or is it only ex-NOL schools with State Championships in the money sports that get under your skin?

I completely agree. Anyone with an ounce of a brain can understand that for expansion to happen the way the small schools wanted, it would have meant adding big schools. And if 3 years ago they undertook the exercise of looking at a map and identifying viable options, they SHOULD have been able to see that there weren't many & adding Upper & Galion shouldn't have happened at this time. Either they did this & ignored the evidence & still allowed things to proceed or really did wait until the school year started to do their due dilligence. It's irresponsible no matter how you look at it.

Riverdale, BC, CC, Crestline and Lucas wanted the Upper and Galion expansion more than any other school. They didn't want to compete against Ontario and Wynford for League Titles. This allowed those school to compete for a Division Title among themselves. Sometime after the expansion someone convinced them they were wrong or they realized it on their own that they made a mistake. 13

@ Whittaker the slow minded dimwit.
Willard has ALWAYS been one of the smallest NOL Schools.
Willard over the past 65+ years has beaten
Bellevue who was bigger than them
Norwalk who was bigger than them
Shelby who was bigger than them
Tiffin who was bigger than them
How is tail-tucking Galion and Upper going to affect Willard's ability to beat those schools. Dimwits like you astound me with your lack of intellect.
Maybe if Northwestern leaves the Big Ten then you'll think Ohio State will have trouble beating Michigan and Penn State.
Fillmore, you are dumb, dumb, dumb.
The only loser left in the NOL is Norwalk, and now that they are the biggest they will actually start winning some Titles. The rest of the schools will continue to do what they have been doing. Get a brain.

That's when we'll know if Willard can hang in a league as long as Upper while being the smallest school.
And tell me where you went to college. I want to have a word with their English professor about redundancy and hyphens.
