Posted November 28th, 2011 07:43 AM IP First of all, Willard had to show some interest in the NCC or they wouldn't have even shown up at the meeting to see what the NCC had to offer. If Vogel is truely correct and Willard had no interest, then the Willard administrators wouldn't not even have went to an NCC meeting. The fact that the Willard admintrators went to an NCC meeting to see what the NCC had to offer shows that Willard did indeed have an interest.
Any moron can figure this one out! "When all is said and done, there is usually more said than done."

Posted November 28th, 2011 11:04 AM IP I have been silent on this the whole way, but as someone who has seen this happening for a long time, all I can say is, DUH! Upper Sandusky (bless their souls) is not great at making decisions, especially when it comes to athletics. The best football coach and basketball coach have been run out of town in the last 10 years.
With Dewitt and Elchert at the helm, Upper, while being very small was able to make the playoffs consistently in football, we won a few sectionals and were in the top half of the league in basketball (pre-Dieblers) and things were on the upswing. Instead of keeping these guys around and supporting them, the Upper administration listened to whiny parents who didn't like these cats and let them go.
With that kind of mentality it is brutally obvious why Upper was looking to move leagues. We don't want coaches who push kids and we don't like to lose, so the obvious answer is to move down and beat up sisters of the poor. Upper Sandusky didn't have to move leagues to win and be competitive, they just had to sell out and work, which is what people did not want to do around here.
Now, the desire to beat up on sisters of the poor instead of work has reared its ugly head when the sisters of the poor were tired of getting beat. If you would have just made the right call and kept dedicated coaches instead of listening to whiny parents we might be in a better situation.

But when you are a TAIL TUCKING school or a school without BALLS, then you think anybody looking at you is seriously in love with you. Losers.

Posted November 28th, 2011 11:46 AM IP Keep making those excuses, vogel, but actions speak louder than words.
Your football team chose to play SMALLER schools the last few years when really given a choice (meaning the league hadn't shrunk and left gaping holes in the schedule).
So consider your school among those schools without balls. What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger.

If Willard WANTED to play Lucas and Crestline then Willard would have joined the NCC. Willard didn't WANT to.
Ontario on the other hand had opportunities to apply for the NOL and never has done so because they WANT to play Lucas and Crestline.
He's just grasping at straws to "TRY" to pretend Ontario isn't ball-less.

Vogel refuses to answers questions that disproves his uneducated thoughts.
I WILL TRY AGAIN and I have asked him this question before and he has failed to answer it. OH Vogel!!!!! You have no balls if you don't answer this question.
QUESTION: Give us your list of schools who were the largest school in their league and left that 8 school league to join a league in which they would be the smallest school AND also have to drive longer distances.
MORE QUESTIONS..... that Vogel doesn't have the balls to answer.
QUESTION: When Tiffin was the largest school in the NOL why didn't they leave to be the smallest school in another league?
QUESTION: When do you expect Norwalk will leave the NOL now that they are the largest school in the NOL?
MORE QUESTIONS ball-less Vogel has failed to answer from this thread.
QUESTION: Why does Willard schedule ball-less Ontario, itty bitty Margarreta and Bucyrus the worst football school in the lowly NCC?
QUESTION: What does ball-less Ontario do to Willard?
IF there is a Willardian out there with more balls than Vogel feel free to step up and help ball-less Vogel answer the questions.

What in the hell did this from you have to do with this?
You said...... A quote from someone high up in the Willard System..."I can't imagine driving to Lucas for a game on a Friday night".
Yet another put down of Lucas from a Willardian .
You respected that thought of a high up at Willard? Do you think that is typical hate at Willard?
I was seeing how you would think my words would mirror that of a Willard high up. Was anything in my post an untrue? I spoke about what "I can't imagine"....like you quoted what a Willard high up "can't imagine". 13

The NOL and OCC are both solid options for them but I would bet organizing a new conference with smaller schools is a more likely option. bottom of the ninth, not time outs, it's 4th down with no fouls to give and I'm swinging for the fence.

The NCC would only expand by 2 new schools at one time.
A QUESTION for Vogel: Why were there only TWO nonNCC schools at the NCC meeting...Willard and Loudonville? Two at a time, Willard and Loudonville.
Vogel is ball-less if he doesn't answer this question.

Ontario, Galion, Upper and possibly Bucyrus will soon be looking to add schools to the NCC.
Clear Fork, River Valley, Buckeye Valley, North Union are all larger than Ontario. A fifth school is smaller, Marion Pleasant a State Power in athletics. 13

I don't even understand this post of yours but I knew you would take my original post out of context.
It had nothing to do with actually going to Lucas itself, they were saying that they would rather go to Bellevue/Shelby/Tiffin/etc. on a Friday night for a football game than Lucas/Riverdale/Crestline/etc. That'd be like having Ohio State go to Ashland for a game.
But of course you would take it completely the wrong way and start to bad mouth the town of Willard. Crazy. Yep, that's right.

You must learn to be more specific, especially when quoting a high up at Willard.
I said nothing more than what I've heard Willard people say on here about the drug problems in Willard. I said nothing more than what people in southern Richland county know about the average income of Lucas. I was nothing more than honest about where I would prefer to send my kids to school if the choice had to be between Willard and Lucas. 13

My Oldest Brother = All-Ohio in Football
My other older Brother = All-Ohio in Football
I played my HS career with a jacked up knee and still led all CB's in the NOL in tackles my senior year. 3 Varsity Letters.
You will not believe me (because you are a loser), but I grew up with Frye and we ended up getting banned from being on the same FB team in youth leagues because we dominated so much.

JackHammer I agree 100%. Upper SUCKS at making athletic decisions. They swing from a coach that pushes and drives the athletes to a preacher. This has been done in both football and basketball repeatedly. It doesn't matter what league they are in or who they play until they begin to hire good quality coaches that do not have issues or hidden agendas they will not be contenders anywhere. I thinks on most of the coaching staffs these quality people are there they are just in the wrong positions. I think it's probably time for the athletic director to go and perhaps some of the administrators responsible for making these decisions.
