Posted October 25th, 2011 05:33 PM IP Have seen him play many times. I think his name is Tyrell Edmiston. Will be a legitimate threat in his four years at Plymouth. Has all the skills to develop into a 20/10 player. A little more skilled than Brandon MacCauley was at his age. I would expect him to start for the Big Red this season.
They key for Tyrell will be not letting his emotions get the best of him. He can come undone at times (watch football as an example) and then his temper takes over and he wont help his team then. Its nice to see him get this opportunity at Plymouth and hopefully things come together for him and he reaches his full potential. He probably wouldn't have done that in Mansfield with his surroundings.
Played for the Mansfield Lil Tygers basketball program with two other kids from Plymouth. Don't know if he played for King James team or not but maybe he will this coming season as someone from his Plymouth team will not be able to play on Lil Tygers now since he has transferred to Plymouth and that would give them three.

Posted November 1st, 2011 01:42 AM IP I played ball against Tyrell tonight at Plymouth open gym,the coach invited a few out of school people to come over and run with them. This kid has potential to be a MONSTER......IF as 94hoops said his attitude and emotions dont get the best of him.
his coach said he is only 14, and for only be 14 let me tell you this kid was dunking from the block with ease. when he gets down on the baseline hes tough for only being a freshman.
He will also be successful IF his teammates help.I noticed, and even mentioned to a few plymouth players that they will have a tough season if they all dont get along. I see alot of ball hogs on the team and i also see ALOT of jealousy of Tyrell only bein a Freshman, and possibly getting playing time...i might have to go over and catch a few plymouth games and see how this kid pans out. *2008 NOSF Fantasy Football Champion*

Posted March 6th, 2012 11:11 PM IP McCreary scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half. Hit two HUGE threes in the fourth and all four of his FT attempts in the last 42 seconds.
Benfer had 14 for Plymouth. Edmiston finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Posted March 30th, 2013 11:51 AM IP Take it for what its worth, but i was playing ball with a bunch of plymouth people the other day and they said that Tyrell received a Letter from Ohio state Looking at him for football. Supposedly they brought him down and let him watch the Purdue game, and he got to catch balls from a back up, and just kinda hung out,and talk with a few players..
Can anyone Confirm? Also is this kid anywhere near good enough Receiver to be getting looks from OSU?????? *2008 NOSF Fantasy Football Champion*

He was down to OSU but getting invited is the question. From what I hear it was a prospecting thing just because of his natural talent. He was catching balls from the back-up because he approached the backup about it...not the other way around. From what I see on the basketball court and football field he needs to really grow up and develop himself as a person as well as an athlete. I see him making it in basketball but not football...so much raw talent but the wrong attitude!!!

Posted April 10th, 2013 11:27 AM IP From what I have heard there is no chance of him going back to Senior High. He lives with one of the biggest Plymouth Fans in the world. If he leaves there, it will be rough for him wherever he goes

Posted April 10th, 2013 02:32 PM IP IF he does transfer anywhere he needs to go somewhere that he can showcase whether or not he is able to play the 3/4.. Most colleges simply aren't willing to take 6'4 post players

Not necessarily true. There's going to be kids all over Ohio transferring that will go and play sports at the school they transferred to. Yep, that's right.

That changed this year. If you move and your kids are in the 9th grade or higher the OHSAA will not allow your kids to play sports for a year, unless you can prove, swear to it and have OHSAA forms notarized, stating the reason for the move was for something other than sports. 13

Blah, blah, blah...and yet we all know in reality kids will still continue to move and play sports. Yep, that's right.

Posted April 12th, 2013 08:44 AM IP OHSAA is considering doing just that, saving the BS. Here is a link to an article in cleveland.com from January where it states because of the amount of time that the OHSAA Legal Counsel spends on Transfer issues, they may just wave the white flag, an athlete would have to sit out 1/2 of a SEASON and then be eligible.

He would return along with Beebe. They are two of the best players in the area, if they want to be, but when they are "off" it is a train wreck. The Big Red should add some talent again this year, but will lack depth just like in the past. Bailey will probably run the point, with Edmiston on the post and Beebe on the wing, There will be very few seniors next year, If I can remember correctly they played JV this year. The Collins kid can shoot but will need to learn how to play some defense before he gets some meaningful minutes. There is another kid but I can't think of his name, he played some but at the end had to sit for grades, he should be alright, but Bailey, Beebe, and Edmiston will have to carry the team mostly.
