8:00 Tuesday 3/13 at BGSU. Edgerton is #3 ranked team in DIV. Winner plays 21-3 Arlington vs 22-1 Maumee Valley Country Day.
I noticed Edgerton won a couple of low scoring close games in the tournament. If CC takes care of the ball and hit's their 3-poinerts there is no reason they can't win this game.

Saw them in the district final vs. Kalida. Solid, fundamentally sound and they play terrific defense. Junior Jacob Adams, a 6-2 center, had a solid 20-point night against Kalida to get them to regionals on a night they couldn't buy a 3-pointer in a 39-36 win.
Certainly are beatable but a very tough team, should be interesting.

No CC lovers here? Sweet 16 team in a winnable region and nobody has anything to say? I can see their little coach wiping the sweat from his bald head with his big towel as I type this. Is there any excitement in CC land....how many times have they been this far?

yes 92.7 wqel will be broadcasting the game and i do believe that cc has a great chance because not only do they have great guard play but someone who is not afraid to go down low in metcalf so watch out for them to pull off the upset agains undefeated and #3 ranked edgerton if they use the press and create points off turnovers they have an amazing chance

This is only the 2nd time in school history that CC has made it to the sweet 16. There first trip was just a few yrs ago. Hopefully they have a much better showing this time. Good luck and go eagles!

I am pulling for them too...I like the way they play. I only see them once a year but they always seem well-coached and play very hard. Would like to see a CC-Arlington final

just think they have the will to win and the shooters to win but i have not seen edgerton play this year does anyone know alot about them what style do they play

A couple bad breaks and a couple blown calls cost the Eagles last night. The blown 10 second call when they were down 2 was huge.

The Refs did the Eagles no favors last night. You would think by this point in the tourney you would have a better officiated game.

I recognized 2 of the 3 from the Willard/Elida District game ... and they weren't to swift there either.

10 Second call the Edgerton coach called a Time out just prior to the official reaching 10 seconds. Not a blown call.
What cost CC the game was:
Technical foul on their center for slamming the ball to the court! Foul was called prior giving Edgerton 4 free throws and the ball! 1 FT was converted so they got 3 points and made a basket for a 5 point swing.
As well CC got a steal down 2 with about 50 seconds left and had a wide open man going for the basket - pass was off balance and intercepted. If the pass is good and the score - tie game.
Wasn't the officiating that kept CC to 13 points in the first half. It was the 8-10 points blown off of layups.
It wasn't the officiating that let Edgerton go untouched off the dribble in the first half to the tune of 10-12 points in layups.
CC looked like deer in headlights until Edgerton's pg went down with a knee injury. If he doesn't go down in the 1st half... CC gets blown out of the game.
Great learning experience - great come back. But let's not lay the blame on the refs. CC made plenty of errors to lose this game.

Larry Legend: Check out that fact about Eagle teams making the regionals
I thought ther was a team in the late sixties that went. Might have been coached by Robert "Mac" Morrison. That team picture use to hang in the trophy case. Also maybe a team around 72' that beat Willard when they had the Burma kid, Willard might have been state ranked. That was the best basketball team I have seen come out of the Eagles Nest.
