I believe he is heading to Saline (MI).

Moving on to Saline from Whitmer is in my opinion a step backwards. Not trying to start trouble but how much of this is due to the OHSAA investigation?

No doubt about it. With all of the investigations, this is no surprise. Does his son graduate this year?

That is a step down. There are issues to think about as well such as his pension in Ohio. Strange...

Whitmer has quickly become a marquee job in Ohio. Expect to see big names thrown around for the job. Unless they go the hometown discount route and hire in house.

I love all of the 'theres something more to this' crowd.
Keith, you especially disappoint. I am close to what is going on and has happened at Whitmer and can tell you the OHSAA witch-hunt is exactly that...a witch-hunt. Everyone reads a blip here, hear's a rumor based on another rumor there and there you go...tarnished on baseless garbage. I'll tell you one thing, if Fremont City Schools butted up to and even penetrated the City of Toledo kds would be bolting to Little Giant land as well. Better facilities, better coaching, better community support.
Did you read the article last Tuesday about CCHS and SJ being punished for OHSAA violations? Did not think so, it was about an inch by inch blip.
Coach Palka was making roughly $70,000 at WHS. Saline has agreed to pay him upwards of $100,000 and created an administrators poistion (assistant prinicipal and assistant AD).
The guy went 59-16 in 6 years, won three league titles, went to 3 regional championship games, and two final fours. Where else can he go? Especially after he is losing so much? A wise coach said you should only stay in one place 6 years because you've either won what you needed to win or gotten stagnent. Saline is a more affluent district, think Findlay meets Anthony Wayne and they have great facilities. His sister also works there.
I'd also say the witch-hunt helped. Not fun when starngers are talking to your neighbors, combing through your trash, and the local rag is portraying and otherwise great coach as a scumbag recruiter (even though he NEVER recruited a kid). Funny tid-bit is the coaching staff did not even know who most these move-ins were until they showed up.

I remember commenting on Ross and you pointing out to me the true story or at least both sides and I remember conceding to what you know because I've always respected you.
Is what kills me is I'm a Catholic school guy born and bread and at this point hate what the Catholic school's stand for and yet they get a pass for some odd reason. If kids want to move into a successful PUBLIC district it MUST be recruiting and many other public school fans buy in as well. Thats sad.
