This weekend I finily begain having some smooth draws with the sword. On the dojang front I'm waiting on a advisory committiee vote on if I have use of a large area{2000sf ) with new walls /carpet /heat/ac/high ceiling with changing area and new large rest rooms -Worse case I would have a basement room -ok for small group of men . Looks like my church is going to "rent" me our old building -Typical two rows of pews church with fairly wide seperation from wall and pew rows plenty of room with high ceilings Pastor and board will persent and recomend this to the members at the next business meeting.Majority vote required.Time to sweet talk the church ladys. RLKelley Sixth Dan Posts: 495 Registered: Mar 2011    Posted December 8th, 2011 08:19 PM   IP              Good workout today .Seitei Iaido is the hardest thing I 've ever done .Each time you draw your sword it's sit ,stand on your knees ,stand on your feet ,down on your knees ,stand ,sit all the time swinging a sword around .Moving in slow motion execpt your swings. 30 mins. is all I can take till my thighs cramp.It doesn't look like much ,but to me it's brutal. It's hard to be smooth and powerful when your butts got a cramp .I really enjoy it.Barely made it though kids class today Seitei Mae and Seitei Ushiro offer a complete body work out Rooster Nothing we do is competition legal, because your life's no game.” Don't pick a fight with an old man. RLKelley Sixth Dan Posts: 495 Registered: Mar 2011    Posted January 9th, 2012 11:21 PM   IP              Been having lots of good training,Young students coming along .Was able to promote 3 -father and two sons -to 9th gup Master Will Whitmeyer (my spelling) from the Kong Shin Hapkido/Kuk Sool Won line ,stoped in to see who we are.Accepted my invite to take over the class. His mind and GM Dunn's are on the same path.My students enjoyed watching me get thrown and twisted. To my great luck he has offered to train me. If I can get my twisty side as good as my kick/pucnh side I'll really be something!! I am sorry to say I havn't picked up my sword in weeks,It does look pretty by the fireplace. We got our 1st bloody nose this week we're a Dojang now! Kids horse playing behind my back. I LOVE teaching -Im feeling better /stronger and getting prettyer everyday.
