Posted March 30th, 2011 11:31 PM IP I'm sorry Casper, for some reason I didn't see your post till tonight.
I take the following in a shake at least twice per day (first with a banana);
Whey protein powder
Barley grass powder
Adrenal aid powder (various vitamins)
L-Glutamine powder (this has really seemed to help DOMS)
I take Kre-Alkyln which is supposed to be a Ph buffered creatine monohydrate which stays stable in the stomach long enough to get fully absorbed so none is converted to creatinine. How true this is I don't know, just going on what I've read. The poundage continues to go up though on my compound lifts and the reps on my isolation lifts.
I take a bunch of different vitamins such as the normal multi, another type of adrenal aid, Kyolic garlic capsules (odorless), olive leaf extract (to boost my immune system due to working in a correctional institution), a suppliment to prevent prostrate problems (not saw palmetto, its something else that really works fantastic but I can't think of the name right now), CoQ10 with carnatine, vitamin D gel pill, Nordic Natural fish oil (couple of teaspoons a day), and that's all I can think of at the moment.
I use N.O. Shotgun and like the product (I wait till I get it on sale like Vitamin World's 40% off mail coupon or on the net, usually for around $30). It does give me a flush in the face from the niacin. I don't use any caffeine products (no sodas etc) so the little bit in the shotgun isn't bad (about a coffee cup full according to the guy at VPX. I don't get a crash afterwards which is important, but do feel pretty sustained during the workout. I think a tolerance can be built up to it over time which limits its effectiveness. One of the guys that I know that works at Vitamin Discount suggested Jack'D 3D for my next purchase. Same price as discounted Shotgun, but about 50% more servings. Suppose to be really concentrated. He says it gives an amazing workout. So I'm doing a little research on it now while I still have Shotgun.
That's all I can think of at the moment...Oh, I do take enzymes with all my meals and shakes. Suppose to really help with digestion and with the protein it's suppose to also help maximize absorbsion.
Body building isn't everything...its just that being small, weak and puny really sucks!
