Hello.
I found this forum via a link on TMF, following a thread about a commemorative model following the sad passing of Taffy1967 i wasn't aware such forum existed, I thought i had a big collection (approx 50 models), but it appears its miniscule  compared to you guys however im sure it will grow.
I've been colleting since i was 17 when i first got a mini, it started with just model of my mini, a vitesse racing green, and at the same show i bought another 6 models, in a box for £10 or something silly and it went from there.
Gerenerally i try and avoid the red/white/blue coopers - relatives are quite good at getting those for birthdays and xmas leaving me to buy others.
I don't collect any one scale/manufacturer, just what i like, although i do have fair bit of corgi.
As for favourites, thats where it gets difficult. I have lots of favourites for various reasons, be it just liking the model, finally getting one after hours of hunting, or paying a bargin price, although if i had to choose, it would be between the Italian Job Coach and 3 mini's set and the Kyosho 1/18 mini cooper signed by the late John Cooper.
I also have a fair few commemorative models, every southern mini days mini and also london to brighton since i have been doing the run (although i've yet to have enough funds to buy either no1 or the number relating to the run number in the auction)
Anyway enough of my ramblings!

I only joined yesterday, and it was the same reason which led me here! I'm a wee bit jealous of your two favourites...they always fetch more than I can afford on ebay!
Anyway, Welcome aboard!
Actually, it does have 5 gears...the fifth makes it go backwards!
