I remember my grandfather had a small lapel pin of the square and compass with a "G". He just said he was a "Mason". I am curious about the history... of all the guilds in the Renaissance, why stone cutters? Why not woodworkers, bakers, butchers, etc.? Is it because the masons built the cathedrals and layed corner stones???

Good evening...I've come accorss your web page while looking for information about the Knights Templars...

I have a gold pendent with the latin words:IN HOC SIGNO VINCES around a cross with a crown and a cross sticking out the top of it ...all laid with diamonds and rubys with a shield and helmet at the top...

On the back there is a symbal which reads : H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S and in the middle of those letters there' the letters of GCS...

I'm desperate to find out what this all means and what the letters stand for...I have looked at videos on the Templar Knights and other documents and still can't find the information i'm after....Looking at your web page you seem to j=have a lot of knowledge and I thought you might be able to help me please...

looking forward to your remarks...

Regards
