2nd XI
Home to Thornton St Peters
Great Glen won the toss and put Thornton in to bat. Following the loss of 4 early wickets a tight bowling performance combined with a defensive rearguard action saw Thornton bowled out for 81 after 42 overs. 2 run outs by Jamie Snashall and Dan Gee accompanying 2 wickets apiece for John Ainsworth, Tim Odams and Tim Andrews.
In reply Glen lost openers Jamie and Collis early on before a quickfire innings from Arpan pushed Glen closer to their target. After losing 3 more wickets it was left to Josh Gamble and Lee Samuels to see glen home, Josh hitting the winning runs in emphatic style with a six over midwicket to take Glen to 82-5.
