Sheri February 15th, 2011 07:29 PM | The truth came out...
He reccomended she make herself her job! Take care of herself, do what she needs to feel good. He used the gym as an example. She took that to mean he thinks she's fat, it's her job to lose weight... blah blah blah...
I knew he couldn't be that big of a jerk (I've known both of them since high school, I can't imagine either of them being that rude to eacother). |
Melly February 15th, 2011 04:37 PM | I'll lose weight when he regrows hair on the top of his head. |
amber February 10th, 2011 05:15 PM | Oh HELLLLLL NO! That would not fly in this house.
I hope she's doing it for herself and NOT for her husband. |
Rach February 10th, 2011 10:16 AM | It's funny that you brought this up! JJ's cousin called me on Saturday to tell me that her hubby told her the same thing. He works in North Dakota on a rig, so he is gone 28 days and home 14. On the day he left he told her that her job was to be in shape and thin for him. I told JJ that he ever told me that his ass would be out on the lawn. |
Karie February 10th, 2011 08:31 AM | I agree, fists would be flying at my house!! DEFINITELY keep us posted on this one!! |

Nope. I can't see that working at all.
Keep us posted on this please. |
Sheri February 9th, 2011 04:18 PM | I don't know the approach, she tends to play the whoa is me card a lot. I can't imagine him doing it out of spite or anger. |
turtlemama5 February 9th, 2011 02:45 PM | That wouldn't go over well at my house! But like Cindy said, his approach would make a huge difference. Is he being encouraging or critical?
|
Cindy February 9th, 2011 11:54 AM | Yikes! I am hoping that he brought it up in a loving and encouraging way! I don't think anyone should tell another person they HAVE to lose weight unless it's a medical/life-threatening type situation. |
Sheri February 8th, 2011 04:11 PM | I just got off the phone with a friend who is joining a gym and trying to lose weight because her husand told her to. She's a stay at home mom, and has gained and lost for the last 8 yrs (has 2 kids). He said if she's home all day and the kids are in preschool she can have the "job" of exercising while they are gone. Would you do it if your husband told you to?
I hope he was encouraging her to do something for herself and to dedicate herself to it the way she would a job and that it's not a "demand" or an ultimatum.
Travis would have a size 9 foot up his ass if he ever told me I had to lose weight. |
