RPG-Related Questions Where do I join Boltage's Pokémon Role-Playing Game? This is the messageboard for Boltage's Pokémon Role-Playing Game. To joing Boltage's Pokémon Role-Playing Game (usually reffered to as BPRPG), you should first head to the RPG website, found at http://www.geocities.com/boltage14/BoltMain.html. However, if that link is too long for you, you can also head to www.boltage.tk. It's the same site, but the TK link has an additional pop-up. Once at the main page, click on the drop-down menu, select 'Sign Up', and click Go. Once at the 'Sign up' page, fill out the form and click submit. You should be added to the RPG in a day or two. Ref? Advanced Ref? Updater? Big Boss!? What do all of these mean!?! Refs are moderators of specific boards in the forum. Off the boards, they can ref battles between members. Advanced Refs are moderators of all boards in the forum. Off the boards, they can ref battles between members, NPCs, and Gym Leaders that they have been trained to use. Updaters are able to update the website, as well as moderate all boards of the forum. Off the boards, they can ref any and all battles, and even run some events. Big Bosses are the runners of the RPG; should one go out of office, the others will take control of the RPG. They have the abilities of an Updater, as well. If there is a change to the RPG, the Big Bosses must agree upon the change. Why does it take so long for my profile to get updated? Because the RPG is forum based, the Updaters could take a while to find what needs to be updated. Advanced Refs and Refs help them out by posting things they have updated in the To-Be-Updated forum. If you know someone (or are someone) who knows a bit about PHP, and would like to make the RPG function a bit better, please contact a Big Boss. We would like to be able to have trainings, catchings, purchases, and sales instantly updated, but do not have the skill with PHP to do so. Board-Related Questions Can I add HTML to my messages? Yes; in addition, you can also add NovoCode to your messages with the NovoCode generator below the smilies. What are Private Messages(PM)? Private messages can be used to send messages to other registered members of the board. To check your messages, log in to Private Messages through the link on the main page. Once there you can also send messages. It's also possible to send a message by clicking on the PM link which comes with each post. Your messages will be stored for 30 days before being deleted. What are community leaders? They are users in charge of the boards. They can delete message, change settings, etc. The Community leaders are classified by their amount of power. From least to most, the community leaders are Refs, Advanced Refs, Updaters, and Big Bosses. How can I change my profile? Use the My Account link found on top of the board pages. Can I edit or delete my own posts? Yes you can. Community leaders can do so as well. Is it possible to search the boards? Yes, but not very well; it is best to remember the specific location of the information you require. What do I do if I lose my username and/or password? Click here What are archives? The archives contain older messages. After a forum reaches 150 topics, the last 50 are moved to an archive. |
