Logging in and out:
Q. I have problems logging in, or staying logged in.
A. In your browser, check Tools > Internet Options > Privacy and make sure the level is set to Accept all cookies.
Q. I hit the Log out button I still remain logged in!
A. Go to your board (http://excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=2), and hit the Log Out button. Then go to the same address but add www. in the url (http://www.excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=2) and hit Log Out again.
Administrative questions:
[ As of this release, do not put the < textarea > tag in your board's headers. It causes problems with the control panel which have to be fixed by the admins. ]

Q. How do I add my own logo?
A. Go to Settings > Feature Settings and look up Logo Image, and enter the url to your image
Q. Can I add personal user titles?
A. Yes. Go to Control Panel > User Administration and find the user you want to give a title to. Click their name and you will find the custom title field.
Q. I'm the board administrator, can I see who's online even if the user has selected to be hidden from Who's Online?
A. No.
Q. I'm the board administrator, can I change my members usernames. profiles?
A. No, you can only disable/delete accounts, and clear the avatar and signature fields.
Q. How do I keep a topic on top of the topic list?
A. At the bottom of each topic you have the option to "Stick thread". Sticking a thread will keep it on top of the topic list
Q: How do I make private forums?
A: Open your Control Panel and go to Forum Administration. Find the forum you want to make private and click edit to the right. Then scroll down to the bottom and find the two drop-down menus. One is for access permission (viewing) and one is for post permission.
Q: My board got screwed up and the Control Panel link is gone. How do I access my CP?
A: The url for your control panel is http://excoboard.com/exco/control/ admin.php?boardid=your boardid . Get rid of the space between control/ and admin.php.

Q. How do I delete my board?
A. Email your username, password and board link and ask to have it deleted.
Q. How come I see 4 members are online, but can't see their names?
A. Users have the option to hide from Who's Online under My Account > Profile. |
