ndpodcast
Hey all.

I forgot my old username and password, so I created a new one heh.

I wanted to let everyone know we're getting ready to assemble the line-up for this year's Town Square Sound Fair in downtown Grand Forks. It'll run from noonish till around 10pm, so there are at least 8 slots that will need to be filled.

If your band is interested in playing, please contact me. Either through the myspace page, or here, or just email me. Also, please keep in mind we're once again looking to have a diverse event, representative of all styles in the area, so everyone is welcome.

We're also looking for vendors to come out. Last year we had Dakota Harvest Bakers, The Blue Moose, and Amazing Grains. We hope to have even more this year. So if you work somewhere you think would be interested, ask them. Or if your sister makes hemp bracelets, or you blow glass trinkets, or whatever... you get the idea.

Thanks to KSA, Jamie Mulligan, and everyone else who played last year!

aaaaaaaand thrash_drummer666@hotmail.com if you have any questions, which you probably don't, but I'm being polite. And I'm Erik. by the way.

Hello.
March 1st, 2007 11:15 PM
ndpodcast Ok Great!

I've got a few other bands on already too, some hip hop and stuff. If you have any objections to that, or can't play on the same bill with hip hop or bluegrass or whatever, for religious reasons, or what have you, speak now. This should be a well rounded show.

To re-cap so far...

Vulcan Mindmeld
Barricade Your Windows
and
Inkedindecision (not sure if you're still down to rock) ?

Is that right?

March 5th, 2007 03:51 PM
A New Level My band would most likely like to play in there if there is any room and if its ok......
March 5th, 2007 04:40 PM
ndpodcast Hey guys.

I appreciate all of the interest.

uhohitsjess:
I don't think the Flat Land String Band are together anymore, are they?

Symbiont, A New Level, The Great Frog Society and The March on Versailles:
There are 3 spots left.
I am claiming one for myself this year I think, which leaves 2.
What should we do?

ndpodcast Right.

Hey, where is your April 13th show happening, btw?
March 5th, 2007 11:52 PM
kusterk2 well, how long are the slots? becuz the frog could play a shorter set and trim it down to half an hr or 20 min if need be, that;s probably all my amp will last anyway, just to fit in as many bands as possible

we're still in the "process" of finding a venue. it'll probably end up being at The Shang, unless anyone else has any other suggestions, which would be appreciated!

i think the shang should start discounting that rental fee a bit. 250 a night is fucking crazy.

it seems like lately they wouldn't be making ANY scratch off that basement if it wasn't for grand forks bands.

...like if there are more than 2 shows a week it should be 125 a night instead or something

if anyone knows john personally, maybe make a mention of this, it woud help the scene a lot. and the shang could really end up becoming something.

you read my mind.

which makes the official list, barring cancellations, and in no particular order :

Inked Indecision
Vulcan Mindmeld
Barricade Your Windows
KSA
Jamie Mulligan
Me & You Crew with Toby
Symbiont
March on Versailles

apologies to everyone else.
maybe we can have another one at the shang.
i'll look into setting it up.

also, everyone, PLEASE send me tracks for the podcast. i'm getting more submissions from out of state than in and this is supposed to be for ND, dig?

AND we still need more local businesses and vendors to show community support for this event. If you think your place of employment would be interested, have them contact me: hastings@ndpodcast.com

sk8ers, hack circles, jugglers and traveling minstrels also welcome :)
