Good riddance you fucker! This is awesome, though we'll just have to see how Robert Gates does in his place.

EDIT: Well, nevermind on the Robert Gates comment. He's only a nominee. Also, apparently he was directly involved with the Contra/Iran dealio from Bush Sr.'s reign so I don't think he'll get it. Hopefully, anyways.

It's been a really good day for the democrats.
1. They won the majority of the House of Representatives
2. They won the majority of the Senate
3. Rumsfeld resigns.
Hopefully some good things come from all of this, and things start getting done at home and abroad. Get our troops home, get our social programs going strong (figure out healthcare), and quit spending money on the war (and hopefully start spending all that money here at home). |

I always laugh at stuff like this, BUSH IS STILL PRESIDENT, there is still the power of veto. Unless bush does a 180 on most things nothing is going to get done. Chances are nothing little is going to change. Yes they might be able to better control legislation, but they wont be able to get anything passed. |

in 2008 I'm voting my ass off.
...by that I mean getting extremely tied up in politics, viewing all candidates with an open mind and voting for the one who looks best on television.
we'll see who's president THEN! |
