Brenda Castilla I enjoy RR movies but...my husband and I watch many movies other than RR movies. Our tastes are different on many movies...so, we either watch together something we enjoy in common or we sit thru a movie that the other likes and we tolerate what we do not like.....or, we go to separate TV's and watch separate movies.

RoyRogersFan I'm happy to see a Roy Rogers Movie too! I'm TERRIBLY excited 'cause my mom's bringing home AT LEAST two new ones from the library today, what a big event!

What you said about sitting through a movie you don't particularly like, Brenda Castilla, I understand perfectly! My mom can be exclaiming about how interesting a movie is, and I'm about to fall asleep from boredom!

Leah B. Being the only girl in my family, I watch alot of movies that I could not call 'my favorite'. But sometimes my mom and I watch a movie together...... when everyone else is out of the house! :)
February 28th, 2007 12:42 PM
Brenda Castilla Sometimes, I have a hard time deciding which movie or TV program I wish to watch.....so much on VHS and DVD now; choices are "many"!
February 28th, 2007 01:09 PM
RoyRogersFan I see what you mean, Leah B. One of my brother's and dad's favorite movie-series is called BIG STUFF, and it's all about big machines, big ships, and big buildings, and big aricraft. And they're SO BOREING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 28th, 2007 04:14 PM
Brenda Castilla Sometimes it is very, very hard to develope any taste at all for what is so boring to us.....but, many times, I have sat thru a boring movie or TV program just to be with my hubby.

CowboyFan My little brothers have a series called Dave and Becky, about things like Police, fire, resuce, farms, etc, and they are really funny even though they are for little kids. My two other sibillngs and I really like watching those.

Brenda Castilla CowboyFan: That is also a bonding time for you and your little brothers.....something you can talk (tease them) about when they are older.
March 1st, 2007 03:26 PM
RoyRogersFan Yeah, the movies some my brothers get a kick out of, the ones that make me fall asleep, they will be something to tease them about when they get older!
March 2nd, 2007 10:01 AM
CowboyFan Yep! I think it will be fun to tease them about some of the things they did as little kids. I know my parents do that to me. When we watched really old home movies (when I was about 1) they all laughed at how goofy I was.

RoyRogersFan Same with pictures. When I was little my mom would convince me to get into a pretty dress and take a picture of me about once a year for my grandparents. Becka has decided that since I posed in pretty dresses, only when forced, mind you, that I was something perfect then. She says, "Ah, you're getting worse as you mature" Yeah, now NOBODY can coax me into a fancy dress, and my pictures that are sent to my granparents have me in my western jackets and cowboy hat! :)

Roughriding Senorita I'm happy to see any movie too, but give me an uncut one any time!! I'm dying to see the uncut version of Lights of Old Santa Fe. I watched the cut version and I always liked it--but I think I'd like the uncut version a whole lot better!
March 3rd, 2007 01:07 PM
Roughriding Senorita Hey, CowboyFan, I noticed that you had a pic of Anne of Green Gables on your avatar. Are you a “kindred spirit”—a Anne of Green Gables fan too?
March 3rd, 2007 03:51 PM
CowboyFan Yep! A big fan (along with being a big RR fan and a big Narnia fan...I'm a bigger RR fan though). I hope it's possible to be fans of three different things all at once!
March 4th, 2007 01:43 PM
RoyRogersFan Ahah, we're fans of the same three things! And yes, I do believe that it's possible, I am, at least! Although you have to add in horses, Trixie Belden, and anything rodeo! :)

CowboyFan
That's cool!
I forgot about being a big fan of horses-I always enjoy looking for horses in non western movies.

RoyRogersFan You FORGOT about horses? That's HORRID!!!!!!!!!!! I could NEVER forget about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 6th, 2007 06:53 PM
CowboyFan Well, when I posted my three favourate things, I was thinking more about being big fans of three different movies.

Brenda Castilla I enjoy watching tapes made with a camcorder many years ago....clothes/hairstyles change and people get older. Plus, I note that the diferent camcorders I have had thru the years, get better and better and the latest one makes even better home movies than all previous ones. I treasure all of these tapes and want to get them transferred onto DVD.
March 7th, 2007 09:30 AM
CowboyFan I think it is really funny to see myself and my sibilings when we were really young, as well as cousins who we are close to.
I'm glad my family invested in a camcorder, because we now have special moments captured for ever, (I hope) on VHS.

My family does to..... its alot of fun..... I looked totally different back then. Right now I have really dark hair, and back then I had red. It's real fun! We're transfering our VHS tapes to DVD this year....

RoyRogersFan Mine's always been kinda orange, and always will be, I'm afraid. I wish that it'd get more like auburn, but it doesn't look like it'll look like that very soon.

Eowawa I think they cut some to fit a standard under 55 minute VCR format some media guru had decided upon fro resale TV markets. They looked to see what they could cut and not mess the storyline and guess what was the lst thing to go...the beautiful music and songs....drat them media mogels.
March 12th, 2007 09:42 AM
CowboyFan Yeah, alot of the songs they cut out are really nice, and the pieces of storyline too, that may be not actual parts of the plot but little things that enhance the story line and help you know why the bad guy was bad or something like that.
