Does any one have the lyrics to My Saddle Pals and I, Carry Me back to the Lone Prairie and You can't take Texas out of Me?
Thanks |

Here are the lyrics to My Saddle Pals & I, as sung by Rou and the Pioneers at the Heldorado rodeo.
Ridin' the range together,
My saddle pals and I.
Through every kind of weather,
My saddle pals and I.
Every night 'neath the light of the bright starry night
On the prairie.
Bedded down all around on the ground
Are the cattle tired and weary.
With a blanket for my bed and a saddle for my head
On the prairie
And our faithfull ponies tethered here and there.
Ridin' the range together
My saddle pals and I.
We're side by side in the saddle.
Thru sunshine and thru rain
We ride, ride, ride in the saddle
O'er the barren plain.
Ridin' the range together,
My saddle plas and I.
Thru every kind of weather,
My saddle plas and I.
Every night 'neath the bright starry night
On the prairie.
Bedded down all around on the ground
Are the cattle tired and weary.
With a blanket for my bed
and a saddle for head
On the prairie.
And our faithful ponies tethered here and there.
Ridin' the range together
My saddle pals and I.

You are very welcome! I love this song, especially when Roy and the Pioneers sing at the Heldorado rodeo. |

I think that was cut out of my version of Heldorado. :( I think I've heard it other places though. Thanks again! :) |

That's one of my favorite songs! Thanks for the lyrics, yellowrose13!
By the way, Roy wrote this song himself. I don't know how many of you know this, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. |

I just saw the Uncut version of Heldorado the other day, and it is a great scene when they sing it at the Rodeo. |

Around 70 minutes. I'm not sure the exact length because the case said it was 54 minutes. |

I really enjoyed the uncut version, especially the parade scenes and when Mrs. Rogers sings with Mr. Rogers when RR is in "jail" at the festival. |

It was exactly 70 min. long. I thought Dale was a PAIN when she got Roy to go into that 'court'. She's such a pain in that movie! 'Course she turned out a pain in my Ridin' Down The Sunset Trail too. |

I think that Mrs. Rogers' character in Heldorado was one of the best, tied with Bells of San Angelo. |
