ronburgandy Along the same lines...last night during the Providence/Marquette game, a fan(can't remember for which team) walked down one of the aisles, jumped over the team bench, and walked onto the court while a player was shooting a free throw and approached one of the officials. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. you could see the guy coming down the aisle when they did the replay.

ronburgandy Actually I just found the video of it...at about the 1:34 mark of the video look at the top right of the screen at the aisle, you can see the fan coming down the steps...

Adidas63 The fan in the the Providence/Marquette game is a brother of the injured player. below is a little piece from ESPN.

Jonathan Xavier needs to chill. Look, there's nothing wrong with sticking up for your brother, Jeff Xavier. But every fan in the building knows you don't go on the court, as Jonathan did during Saturday night's Marquette-Providence game. With 17 minutes left, PC's Jeff Xavier was hit in the face, and when the players were at the free-throw line, Jonathan came down from the stands, jumped over the bench and confronted a referee before anyone from security could get to him. Thankfully, this issue ended peacefully.

kartman But maybe next time it wouldn't end so well. Uh, Pacers/ Pistons - that was sort of the opposite though.

kartman Is that why ESPN showed the 1993 Bowe/Hollyfield fight yesterday when the fan flew into Caesar's Palace and got his parachute tangled in the lights above the ring and landed on the ropes ringside?

theAteam It looks like the WF player like shoves the student just as much as the other way around.

The second one with the guy's brother coming out on the floor to the ref CANNOT happen. Security needs to be fired. That guy could have slit that ref's throat if he wanted to. Security was NOWHERE to be found and once they came they weren't even rushing or anything.

I once witnessed a situation JUST like that at Ross. A player's brother came on the court and went after another player.

CrimsonandWhite if im not mistaken i believe when willard played bellevue a few years back a guy(no names needed) came onto the court during a JV game and went nuts on a ref..and was removed immediately
