...if you look at the overall picture, 09-10 has been a great year for OSU sports
football:
- Won 11 games
- Big Ten Champions for the 5th straight year
- Beat Michigan for the 6th straight year
- Won the Rose Bowl
basketball:
- Won 29 games
- Big Ten regular season and tournament Champions
- Ripped out Michigan's heart on an awesome buzzer beater
- Made it to the sweet 16
- We could possibly have our first Naismith winner
- The women's team won their 6th consecutive Big Ten regular season title, which is a new B10 record (men's or womens), and they also won the B10 tournament
Overall years this good don't happen a whole lot. Gotta enjoy them when they do, and try not to let the negatives (like tonight) ruin it

I believe this year was just the second time in Big 10 history that the same school won the football, mens basketball and womens basketball in the same season. Ohio State did it either two or three ago for the first time. |

tarhe, you're referring to 2006-2007. That was a pretty awesome year, sad that the only thing many remember about that year is the losses in the football and basketball title games
bbmind had a great quote on this subject:"You gotta enjoy the journey and not just the destination"
...and that's especially true in Ohio

well, Cleveland does have 2 world series and 6 NFL titles (4 by the Browns), most of which came around the same time as most of OSU's titles
obviously he's referring to the past 4 decades/what he's seen in his lifetime, in which 2002 has been the only major title for either |

I'm not sure about that Ron...my daughter wants to swim at OSU some day, so we made a visit to the swimming facility recently on a trip to OSU (we were there already for some wrestling -yes, from michigan to columbus- but it got cancelled due to the snowstorm.) Some type of synchro swimming competition was going on after the NCAA diving competition there and as a guy, well... I don't know much about it, but watching it didn't hurt at all... :) |

Haha, well I meant it in this way...let's say you're debating with someone about championships, who's school is better, etc, I'm not going to say "Oh yeah, well OSU has 23 synchronized swimming championships.." |

It's always hard to tell with Vogel he may have been joking. He knows when I said anything I meant hoops & football but he busted my semantics. I actually didn't realize we dominated in synch swimming, ron why didn't you try out and bring home a ring? |

^This is a GOOD thing.
I made a ton of money on that Coed Pistol title in 2000. tOSU was a dog and I took the spread....they won outright and it was a big pay day. Bang! |
