I heard that Michigan wants to trade a Carr in for one with Les Miles.
They would get less miles with Les Miles and it would cost Michigan big $$$$$$$$ to buy out his 1 million dollar deal with LSU.
Michigan isn't that stupid are they?

Other "premium" site material...
Supposedly Michigan is contacting all the big names, Meyer, Stoops, Belichick, Cowher, etc, etc, etc...
Meyer has expressed interest in Michigan's overture because he "supposedly" doesn't get along with an AD at UF.
Another guy getting a look is Jim Grobe from Wake Forest. |

If Miles is really done with UM tho, it is shocking to me people aren't DYING for that job. No conference title game bs...winningest college program of all-time...
...the only explanation is that they are all terrified to face the Sweatervest every year. Sweatervest Sweatervest Sweatervest.
Ann Arbor IS a whore...but she was a respectable young lady until the Sweatervest got ahold of her. |

Michigan is and always will be a top program, they will get a very good coach. There are tons of good hungry smaller school coaches for starters. No need to get a 'big name' unless it's a good fit all the way around. |

Oops! When you were typing this, he was doing the deed. Sounds now like he is a done deal and staying at LSU. I stand corrected as I thought he was pulling the Saban cut and run move.....

You might end up being correct on the situation, but don't hang your hat on the signed extension.
Nothing has changed, Miles is still very much in play for the Michigan coaching job. |

If you guys take him after I'm not going to Michigan and signing an extension and all of it was just to have his kids thinking he was staying so they would remain focused then things are worse in AA than I thought. |

We I say teams are fine they are fine (win the Division, beat the Yankees, took the World Champs to 7 games).
At 8-4 this year, 4 straight losses to OSU, what 4 straight bowl losses and a loss at home to Appalachian State I wouldn't even think of saying that's fine and you wouldn't either. |

In all seriousness, I wont panic until a poor head coaching decision is made.
Despite your slanted beliefs, Miles is not a bad hire...yes, even after all the craziness of the last few days.

I don't know if Michigan is prepared to go to the bank for as much money as it's going to take. Historically, they have not paid their coaches all that much compared to other high-profile programs. |

Michigan had a basis of an offer on the table to Miles for 2.8 mil, they'll pony up.
The blundering of the situation, and it has been f'in blundered like no other, is going to result in Michigan paying more than they would have with competent ppl running the show.
Michigan is having some SERIOUS internal problems right now though...x-players and big time $$ donors are after Carr and Martin for f'in this situation up royally.
Michigan might have a new coach and AD soon...and Lloyd Carr might soon be catapulted into lake Huron.

More on Schiano:
He accepted the Michigan job late last night, woke up this morning and changed his mind. He was reportedly crying this morning in a meeting with his players saying his job was not done at Rutgers, etc, etc, etc...
Methinks he wants nothing to do with this buzzsaw that Carr/Martin have created at Michigan.
The big rumors floating around is Carr sabotaged Miles coming to Michigan and Martin was a willing party in all Carr's shenanigans.
That crusty bastard needs put out to pasture.
So...where this situation stands, Miles is still very much in play here. |

The same for the most part. So many of them are so clueless about it, you would be surprised. Of course, I am here in the midst of those who claim to be michigan fans, but couldn't tell you who the backup QB is either, even though he played a lot of minutes this season. Those that are in the know tho, get it and are not happy campers. I get my jollies razzing a lot of them right now too, but when I try to explain to them that I am really behind them hiring someone to get back to a Woody-Bo era, they think I am full of it... hehe. Honest - I don't know that I have ever rooted so hard for michigan to do well. |
