I just heard that Brady Hoke is officially a candidate for the Michigan job and that a lot of teams are interested in talking with Jason Garrett (Dallas' OC).
EDC, what are your thoughts on this? |

:(
He's 22-35 at Ball State, he's a former Michigan coach under Lloyd Carr -- who seems to be the man making the decisions in this coaching search.
This is either legit and scary, or a favor for Hoke who can put a Michigan interview on his resume for future usage. I'm guessing the latter... |

Hmmmm. Interesting.
Nick Saban
Additionally, the coaching search isn't really a search then in AA. Way ot lie to your guys to get them to win against Tennessee. Nothing says class like "I'm going to be the coach sat LSU next year", then let's address the contract after the game. Classic. This guy is going to be fun to cheer against. |

Right but it's for the 2007 season. You are too smart to think that's what he meant when he was talking. She did ask a poor follow-up question. She should have point blank said next September will you be at LSU. Then he even went as far as saying he wasn't going to Michigan then he joked about them not beating OSU. Sad news for him is 2 of his first 3 would be in Columbus so he's looking at 1-2 out the gate in a best case scenario. |

I think the wait on the contract is more about $$$ than about him going to Michigan. He will get paid more if he wins the NC
How can you say he would go 1-2 against OSU? JT is 0-0 at home and 0-0 at AA in the current coaching series!! :)
BTW It seems Bill Martin is in Florida sailing. Wonder if he is in a Urban area?? LOL |

Coach Tressel has never lost at home to Michigan and has never lost to Miles. This change won't impact us and Michigan is losing the best players off their 4 or 5 loss team. |

BB FYI Carr never lost at home to OSU before JT became coach! So one never knows do they!!! |

Carr isn't Tressel either, we've pretty much established that this decade. |

I've listened to his press conferences and in one of the press conferences he left no room for doubt. Initially, I too thought about how he chose his words very carefully (ie I'll be coaching at LSU next year). The last one that I heard about a couple of days ago left no doubt that he would be at LSU for a long, long time (meaning seasonS). BUT, with what I heard today and then after watching Buckeye Blitz I know that I'm not the only one thinking he's headed to AA. Herbie is a smart man and there is NO WAY he released that info without having a rock solid source. This will continue to be a distraction for the Bayou Tigers (yea). |

John Cooper never lost to UM prior to arriving in Columbus, either. |

Actually, the better statement would be Cooper isn't Tressel. OSU's always had stellar talent with either/or, while UM's wasnt' as good. |

Whatever, you can't believe a team has had superior talent all this time. If that's the case, then you need to dig a little deeper, why is that. Who is that on, etc, etc. Michigan needs to get their house in order on many fronts. |

Well, we'll see who UM can get to dig deeper. The State itself isn't a Football state, and they've had to rely on Ohio and Texas for a long time for solid talent, but those 2 States seem to be keeping their own, nowadays. |

"but those 2 States seem to be keeping their own, nowadays."
OSU always keeps their own, there's just so many good players in Ohio you can't keep them all. Michigan's competition in landing the leftovers is Ron Zook and Illinois now. And Zook has something to offer recruits that Michigan doesn't...a win vs Sweatervest in the Horseshoe. |

^I mean in terms of bigtime, impact players(Woodson, Howard, etc). |

There are plenty of impact players in the "leftovers." Often the difference in a kid getting recruited by OSU or not is just what positions are already filled on the team. You can't keep all the great players. Now, instead of "Woodson, Howard, etc" going to UM, there's a good chance they will go to Illinois. |

I did hear that Carr recommended him.
Any chance the Wolverines lure Jason Garrett away from Dallas? |
