Maybe now people will see the Big Least for what it is, a mid-major conference. |

LOL!!!!!!!!!! You know the conference is just stacked with unbelieveable teams when Pitt can beat #1!!!!!!!!
XParty don't even try to bring the "What if White......" blah Blah Blah.
He didn't do anything either the entire time he played.
If it weren't for refs, Pitt wins this game 24-10! Not even close! |

Haha so true. My guess is X takes this loss like a man. I figure to see him on here soon. It's a Saturday night and he's in college. Give him a break. |

xparty will be back and handle this situation well, this isn't the first time he's looked incredibly foolish on these boards.
Although, this one might be the worst.

Ya I'm still here.
I dont know about "Big East parity", but yesterday was just bad all the way around. WVU didnt have a single bright spot last night. Everyone saw the game, so I'm not going to get into "ifs ands or buts" as everyone knows that WVU had every chance in the world to win that game even with those mistakes.
If anything bright came from last nights game, its that both Pat White and Steve Slaton now have little to no reason to leave after this year. If either leave, it'll be a stupid decision. So.....Theres always next year I guess (that phrase is really getting old). |

Yeah - unfortunately for them they get to get raped by Oklahoma.
That's gonna hurt!
It's going to hurt in the game, during the offseason, and roll over into any recruiting they had - and hurt!
The pitt game absolutely ruins anything that team did this year.
X - glad you're back! Hopefully things work out better next year for ya! |

When this happens in the Big East, you call it a "mid-major conference", but when it happens in the Big ten, it's called a good conference. Just like when a team in the Big East gives up a lot of points, it's called a bad defense and when it happens in the Big ten it's called a good offense. |

Umm, the Big Ten is not full of Mid-Majors. That distinction goes to the Big East.
And when did this happen in the Big Ten?
Ohio State didn't lose to a 7 loss team. Ohio State's only loss is to another BCS team.
Congrats to UConn on a Big East Championship. Those kids worked hard for this Mid-Major Championship. |

The Big East isn't full of mid-majors either.
OSU didn't lose to a 7-loss team, but the Big ten's other BCS team (Illinois, who beat you beloved Buckeyes) did lose to a 6-6 Iowa team. |

What's the point?
And what does this have anything to do with the conversation? |

At least Illinois didn't lose to to South Florida who every media person at the time claimed that they were God's gift to football, and USC lost to a less than .500 Stanford team...it's called an upset, and it's happens to best of teams...but West Virginia got "upset" too many times...as it seems to happen often the Big East. |

They were "upset" twice, just like USC, just like Oklahoma, just like LSU.
Get a clue. |

If all it took was a horrible loss by WVU to get you posting like this, I wish they would have had it a looong time ago. Nice work.
Tfan, you do realize that up until a few years ago that Louisville, UCONN and USF were in Conference USA, a mid'major conference, right? That means that 3/8 Big Least teams (And I'm not even including Rutgers.) were in a mid-major conference recently.
As for your this team beat that team by this many, but that team beat this team by this many crap, that holds no water and people that know anything about football- especially this year- know that. |

My comprehension is fine. Perhaps you should brief through the thread. This is about the Big East. It isn't about Ohio State, and who the team they got beat by was defeated by. Basically what you're saying that the loss to Illinois is intensified because they lost to a .500 Iowa team? Based on that logic every team in America is overrated. |
