Catchow Here are some online favicon editors/creators with instructions on how to use them.

http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/

http://www.favicon.com/

http://www.favicon.co.uk/

http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/

You will need to host the favicon someplace as exco does not support this type of file in the image gallery.

A favicon does not have to be a ico, it can be a jpg, gif or png.
If you need to host it externally try the script below

<link rel="icon" href="http://www.url.com/to/favicon.ico" />

Put it in your <head> tags.

mahud i usually just save my favicons as gifs :)

ripway lets you save icos, though .

Catchow Yes but Mahud I never see your icos that are hosted at ripway.

mahud i wish i knew why that was :(

can you see the one at pixel fortress. i host that one at photobucket?

Edit; actually i think i know why. it's because i gif them, and you must be able to still see favicons in your version of i.e, which , i guess only works for icos.

rogem002 You can save Favicons as gif's though then there not really Icons.

What i would do is rename the extention to .ico instead of .gif and it will still work the same.
