Nov. 3rd there is an announcement made here about server 2 sites switching. No mass emails about it and unless you read posts here daily, you would never know. Myself and other members are on constantly and there was no way I could notify them about this downtime because there is no option to mass email them and I was not informed about a site owner of this. Just my two cents. Came here to see that this was indeed the case about it being moved and found that is was. Hope it doesn't corrupt things on the site.
Excoboard is currently being moved to a new server.
We expect to be up and running again within 2-4 hours.

It pays to check in once in a while. As an owner I feel that I have a responsibility to my users. I check in to see if there is anything that I need to know. I do not blame others for my short comings or failure to keep up with the news. Exco gives us free message boards. I don't think that they should have to bother with mass emails. If you are unhappy with exco, you could always go to proboards where they offer superior support. (NOT!) My members knew ahead of time because I made sure that I was informed. I put an announcement on the front page in the header. You could have done it too. |
