If you set a member to "disabled"......does that mean that they can no longer PM as well as post?
aaaaaaand......
When one loses their password and clicks on the link to have the password sent.....everyone's telling me that they never hear back. Soooooo.....i'm thinking it's not working, lol? Does everyone else's work?
thanks!........Chava |

regarding answer #1; "disabled" pretty well means exactly that - the membership account loses capability to function.
regarding answer #2; with all due respect to Tactician, the choice for displaying an email address in member's profiles is simply a preference of privacy.. nothing more. it should have no bearing on retrieval of forgotten passwords. I often do not display my e-mail addy, but never experience any difficulty receiving a forgotten password.
Chava, people on your Excoboard might consider double checking to make positively certain they've entered the proper e-mail info (both in their profile, and when they request a forgotten password) they must be precisely identical otherwise no info shall be delivered.
also, a forgotten password may have went into their junk mail folder. so relay this message to your members who can't remember their passwords. good luck! |
