becwiccan OK I currently have a member who I have banned through their IP address. Once I have done this can this person no longer use that user name on the board?

Helpless I would think so. Delete the profile just to be sure.

Dave the member wouldnt be able to post again, but as helpless said delete the user profile. if you ban the ip address and the member is on dialup, they will be able to make an ew account as his/her ip address would change every time he/she connects to the internet.

sdn You can also set their account to disabled through the CP. This is a better way than IP banning.

TK-7771 I recommend disabling also. If you delete they will come back.

becwiccan Well I've deleted their account and I also banned their IP
