I've got a couple questions for anybody who can give me an answer!
User Names
Is there any way a registered member can change their own user name? Or is the user name they registered with 'stuck for life'?
Oh darn, I forgot my other question. If I remember it I'll post it. :p |

hello Cougar and welcome to EXCOBOARD! :)
a registered member cannot change their name by themselves. but you (Admin) could instal a "Change Username Or Any Text" script and then change the usernmes accordingly.
that script should be found in the Script Repository or Script Index here @ Support (good luck) |

that's the BEST way to learn! :cool: I'm glad you got it figured out.
just a bit of friendly advice: in the future lease refrain from using Subject Titles for your topics here at Support as vague as "a few of questions" or anything similar.
you are much more likely to receive better and faster assistance by being specific in the title of your topics (thanks) |

But I have one more question regarding user names. I've got the script on, but where do I go from here? How do I change a member's username? |

At the bottom of that script, read the directions. Change the following:
(Names I used are examples)
replace('Tater Tots', 'Mater');
replace('Orpheas', 'Shane);
replace('user3', 'newname3') |
