membar Looking to be a nice opening gap for FKOS and TKOS so far.

We all know that Allen continues to lurk.

ISA_Coder and 888nyc888nyc888: one thing on my wishlist is that you learn Ninja Trader and technical indicators and start messing around with this stuff. You could use wanlorn's scalping strategy in the Strategies section as a starting point and pick it apart to see why it does or doesn't work, or else come up with your own. All the stuff you'd need is free for simulation.

membar No one home? Allen?

ISA_Coder I have used NT before, I actually signed up with AmeriTrade TD to create an account and i never funded the account, just so i could use the credentials to get the live data feed to record in NT so I could then practice DTM on actual data (this was a long time ago).

I probably will not be diving back into NT again because I can't run it at work. I guess I could run it while I am away to record the data and then look back at the times where I decided to trade and look to see if I see anything as far as indicators go, but I wouldn't even know where to start, plus I don't have enough time really to do that.

No trades for me today.
Thinking about getting some C and holding for a few days/weeks/who knows.

Still lurking. I've become a lurkoholic.

Don't count your chickens until they've hatched... at 4pm.

Anyway... tempted to hold FAZ overnight if we mumble a 2-3% below open. Statistics are good with the positive gap today, and a intra-day sell-off. but I don't wanna be holding a batch of FAZ if we get a good jobless claims number. For some reason, I feel better holding FAS with a negative market gap, than FAZ with a positive market gap. Like with the former I'm with the bulls and everyone feels my pain, but with the latter, all the bulls are laughing at me, and bears are no where in sight for consolation.

Black Swan classic early trigger. But like ISA says, any money is good money.

I just realized that I'll have to hold FAS overnight, because my computer at home is going to buy it at close whether I like it or not.

I guess I could change the password on my account temporarily so it can't log in and make the trade.

nocash I see no reason for this market to go up,that being said I have been going in and out of GS.I think one of these pops may hold going in to earnings.I guess if I had to pick areason for the market to climb it would be just to walk up the backs of the shorts one more time.If I had to pick one more I think rimm one time might shock everyone and climb up over 80.All 100 percent speculation and I'm usually wrong.am I allowed to go off the banking topic,I just hate to see this dying out,and I have no chance to post or read till now usually.let's here some predictions guys where's this market going?who's buying this market?people that believe in the economy improving, people trying to keep up with inflation or uncle Ben with our stim money or a combo of all three along with the shorts that get squeezed out. All hail Membar

"dying out" is in the eye of the beholder. I'm not going anywhere, it's just difficult for me to post during the day. Also, it's not like we're trying to sell anything to anyone or prove anything to anyone.

For me, sticking with this forum is kind of the same as sticking with mechanical daytrading strategies. There will be long, boring, discouraging periods where you want to give up, but then you'd miss the one spectacular win day.

Whenever I want to give up, I visualize Allen's TSK chart (maybe he can reprint that somewhere) which turned $25K in to $10M unleveraged in 10 years and 10E+13 dollars with 4x leverage. That's what keeps me going. I want to look back at the end of this year and see if:

- I didn't screw up
- I played every day, no matter what
- I beat the S&P and if so, by how much

In January, I made an international trip to the other side of the world, but I told myself at the beginning of the year that I was determined to play every single day no matter what. So there I was, in taxicabs in a far-off land using a USB broadband modem to connect to my PC at home and set up my strategies while cars were honking and the cab was swerving through crazy traffic. This has become a precious part of my life now and I'm also thankful for the company here, as copious or sporadic as it may get.
