i'll contribute altho not much to post about really....
scalped TZA this morning,
in @ 36.49 out @ 36.82, total hold time 7 minutes
i feel like just posting trades here is pointless b/c it never generates conversation. It either makes other people jealous that they didn't make money like I did or it makes people feel better about themselves if they made more than me (neither is my intention).
I still check these boards in search of furthering my knowledge in the game, mostly from posters like Membar and Allen who have real strategies that they test and explore.
I pretty much have my method down and I am happy with it. I have no problem sharing what I know with other people.
Sad to see the boards slowly dying after such a good run, but like all good things, perhaps it wasn't meant to last. |

I think there are less day traders here then when it was the wild west of '09.. Also, there tends to be lower posting when FAS is down.. I bet we could come up with a correlation of number of posts and the close-to-close percentage of FAS.
BTW, I'm jealous you're making money. My strategy has been stagnant for the past couple months. Oh well. My sims said this could last for a while.
Maybe when earnings season comes through, we'll see some more volatility and posting... |

I didn't trade today. Sold an overnight hold yesterday and just staying put.
ISA- me jealous, always about the cool trades that you do. But don't think that it's only about the money.. I usually go back to the chart and news, and try to see what you saw :-)
Haven't bought yet.
Heidi? Did you buy TNA yet? I remember you and BD were waiting..
I haven't reverse scalped too.. |

in hind sight, i obviously sold too early this morning. I bought TZA because i was expecting the morning pop-n-drop on the bulls and b/c TZA gapped up. I got lucky getting in close to the low of the day just by chance.
I sold at 36.82 because i was watching it like a hawk at the time, it went up to 36.87 and then back down to 36.80 which, as a scalper, is the signal to get out. Then it kept going up but that's not how i play, I'm up more than .5%, the up-surge hits a tiny snag, time to sell. |

ISA - I'm jealous but in a supportive way. I enjoy you posting your trades. It gives me something to aspire to.
The strategies I've been playing are stagnant too.
I wish I could post more during the day, but I can't. That may change in the coming months. Like I said, before, though, I'm not going anywhere.
Nice to see Allen back. I'm doing TKOS again with my small batch. Everything got stopped out today. My other strategy didn't fire through an NT glitch which is good because I think it would have gotten a double stop today. |
