Morning Everyone.
Do any of the admins know what happened to our initial posts in Daily Discussions? I thought we started this new forum in the Spring of last year, but I can only find posts dating to September.
Here's another question: in that "20 Habits" video posted by Allen, they said that all great traders are impatient with their losers and patient with their winners. I feel I might have let BAL slip away @ 87.10, though the jury's still out on that. Van Tharp, another guy who I admire and respect, says basically the same thing.
However, this sentiment doesn't seem to reflect the environment we're in, we're swing trading strategies would appear to my untrained eye to be more profitable for things like FAS. There have been non-trivial market drops that it would have been a shame not to take into account.
Am I reasoning about this wrong? Thinking about the wrong ETFs? Timeframe? |

It looks like they fell off due to number of posts. Excobards have a maximum number of 5/6 pages of topics per category. Normally old posts go to archive after the limit is hit. I checked the settings and archive was not setup for this section. I changed the setting and now it will move old posts to the forum archive rather than just deleting them. |

in FAS at 31.85, out at 31.95
in FAZ at 7.89, out at 7.93
.3% on FAS
.5% on FAZ

I jumped in FAZ at 7.97 when XLF had negative macd cross (basically used Emmas entry ignoring the Pivot bands. So far its paying off well. Looks like market is going to continue to sell off today. |

I sold off at 8.10. Emma just called entry in FAS @ 31.29 at 10:31
edit:
I should note I don't expect that this entry will pay off hence I didn't trade it.
I did reenter FAZ at 8.05 however. |

Impossible to time these suckers. I have given up being exact. beat randomness with randomness. Buy and sell at multiple points. |

Yesterday and today are just buying days for me. Loading up on FAS, C, BAC, T and MO. I use T and MO for defensive counter balance.
Sell days will happen in in a week or so.
Missed one trading oppty this morning when FAS ran up. |

P.S. I predict a late-day rally, but I'm hoping for a lower FKOS buyback price. |

************** LURKER DAY FRIDAY ***************
Hey everyone, this Friday we'll be having lurker day. Lurker day Friday where we encourage lurkers - those that watch all the action on this board but rarely or never post - to come out of the woodworks and say hello.
Also, a couple of us have agreed to help answer questions that any newbies might have... But most importantly it would be great to get your feedback/participation as well. Who knows, maybe George Soros lurks on this board and we can get him to post.
Anyway hope to meet some anonymous readers this Friday!
