Topie: Little Black Dress
November 15th, 2007 11:17 AM
Lady Bear Notice I havent got this in my wardrobe, I've decided to get one for a wedding reception due in a week or so.

I will be hitting the shops at the weekend. Had a lil browse, can't find anything. I am after a MAGICAL little black dress. Under £100 hopefully!!

Wonderful people, could you help?

Petite, Size 6 or 8. I am after Chiffon-like material. You know, see through into the inner lining could be bright purple or something, or black... (Not demanding at all!)

I do have a pair of goldy/silvery/shiny shoes to go with...

Thanks so much!

Lullabelious Have you looked in Monsoon ? They have some lovely dresses in there at the moment and several are under the £100 mark.

Kathy Lees I don't have a little black dress, I don't have the figure for it.

My resolution next year is to lose weight and when I do, I'll buy a very sexy black dress.

The black dress Stacey in Eastenders wore recently at an awards ceremony was lovely, I'll try and get a pic.

I must profess, i do think that your purple cheese cloth blouse (The one you wore at a meet) is just as nice as a little sexy black number. ;)

mum4ever My blouse is not cheese cloth, it is raw silk.

It was a small accident I had in Karen Millen.

Which is what you'll probably get if you confuse cheese cloth and silk again! ;laughing;

Thanks.

I've put on weight over the past couple of years and the weight I lost with Weight Watchers have piled back on and more!

I need to lose it.

Sue I can vouch Sally has a lovely figure, She is a beautiful young women,
But us women have a thing about putting on weight.
My sons tell me as I am middle aged I shouldn't worry about having a waist line, but I do. (Aint they got some cheek)
I just love the feminine thing and have told them that when I am in my box, it will be with a waist line.

No, I mean, that I could not help myself when I fell into the shop, it was on the mannequin in the shop window, I just had to have it, not often I buy impulsively like that.

irish_lass_in_london i'm not keen on weaning dresses, or skirts either - but any dresses i do have are indeed all black.

I would say go to Monsoon or oasis have some lovely dresses too.

also - bear in mind, just cos it costs £100 doesn't mean you'll look as great as you will in a dress that flatters your shape that possibly cost half the price

Lady Bear Oooo, thanks for all reply!! I didn't have the chance to check after posted last week...

Anyway, I went and did my shopping at the weekend. Bought two dresses, from Zara. One was ok, black, as I wanted but kinda boring in style. Good thing is I can wear it with other exciting stuff, like bright red heels (when I get to purchase a pair!!). Plus it's the only dress out of many I tried on on the day that fit perfectly!! I will wear this to the wedding. It's only £40!!! :D

With the left over budget, I spent it on another dress as a treat!! For all my hard work, getting in and out of the dressing room- I totally deserve it!

Oh, I checked the dress out, I think it's quite revealing... I don't have the figure for that!!

The black dress I bought isnt sexy at all. It's pretty. It can easily go with any colour - gold, silver, red, green, blue etc etc... depending on which jewelry you feel like wearing on the night!! :)

I think you would look your best in a white dress, with a ring on yer finger... :D
