Posted August 5th, 2009 06:16 PM IP Sorry Memento.
Awesome show. They only played about 45 minutes or so. Here is the set list to the best of my knowledge.
(new song)
High Acetate
(new song)
Travel by Telephone
Good Things
(new song)
Undercovers On
Eyes Wide Open (new song)
The Switch
(new song)
Used For Glue
Talked to Sammy after the show. They were in high spirits. I asked about the new album. Sammy said it is pretty much done, they are just working on the the logistics (who is going to put it out and when). He said realistically the new album might come out in January.
He also mentioned that "Eyes Wide Open" is a reworked song that Walter wrote after Quicksand broke up. Sounded like it as it was heavier than a normal Rival Schools song (think "Holding Sand") but awesome none the less. -MB

Posted August 6th, 2009 01:45 AM IP I guess I could get into being a black english chick for a day. If you find a way to get it done, let me know. I'm game. We could make a movie about it afterwards - lol. The truth fears nothing.

Both Sammy (in person) and Walter (on stage) called it "Eyes Wide Open". Either way it was rocking and I can't wait to hear an official recording of it! -MB

Posted August 7th, 2009 03:38 PM IP I'll get beat for this weak report, but... undercovers on and eyes wide open were set highlights for me. They played a LOT of new stuff and it was not the same new stuff they played last year. I think the new album will be mostly stuff we've never heard. I saw Sammy smooching a very preggo chick outside the venue, which leads me to believe all 4 members will be daddys shortly. EODM owned - they were awesome. The truth fears nothing.

Posted August 9th, 2009 10:47 AM IP yea, I loved those songs when WFC recorded them. But the bootleg quality was so bad. That was a LONG time ago. I think I had that demo in 2000.
