i made a purse out of an old stuffed animal for a costume yesterday. If i can nail down the process and make them look professional, i'm thinking of making these things for money - so far every woman whose seen my pig-purse had told me they'd like one, and the supplies are pretty cheap...
also, I'll post pics of him later, once i get a chance to take some.

How'd you market them? Get a street vendor's liscense and stand on the corner? Websites are convinient, but it's pretty much impossible to get the word out there, and storefronts are WAY out....i guess you could sell them at anime conventions.

precisely! do you know what kinds of random crafty crap they sell at cons? it'd fit right in.
plus, i figure i get a webfront set up, send in some photos to Cute Overload, and if they post them, i'd have more business than i'd know what to do with. that part is sort of a 'nice hypothetical situation wherein i am independently successful', but it isn't entirely unbelievable either. they promote a lot of independent stuff.

If you have all that free time you could try picking up a new hobby or perhaps using some of it for the betterment of your health. Have you considered yoga or jogging?
